I heard about this somewhere, prob Bravo's "Scariest scenes" or whatever show. It's supposedly one of the most insane horror films of all time.

Well, I wouldn't call it an insane horror movie, there's a good amount of blood and violence though. The plot twist is what makes it though.

Curse of the Golden Flower, a bigger budget, but another great Oriental flick.
