I Was Busted!! I Need Help!

Simply hgaving steroids delivered to your mail box is far from a crime, if it was anyone could send steroids to anyone and they could goto jail. I could send steroids to old school teachers and get them arrested etc....I dont think so.

The point is we DO NOT have control over who sends us what. They have to prove you ordered it, that you were selling or what not. You being cooperative and giving up your rights and letting them search your house etc likely did much more harm than good. Get yourself a lawyer, but to me it allready sounds too late.

They won't let you join with a Felony. Misdemeanors are fine. Call your recruiter and he/she will verify this. By the way bro...if they are offering you five years fucking probation for such a minor offense, then I would DEFINITELY TRY to get a better deal than that, because even THAT is too harsh for what you got caught doing. I know a guy around here that got caught with 16 pounds of weed and only got 1 year probation. Of course he ratted his source out, but that's besides the point.:D The POINT IS, is that you should be able to get a 1/2-decent lawyer to get you down to 2 years probation MAXIMUM!! If it were me, I would hold out for 1 year. You'll probably get it, and that would be your only reason for going with a lawyer that isn't "court-appointed" I suppose. Probation isn't jail brother, but it sucks asshole just the same. If you get a ball-breakin'-prick as a Probation Officer, then you're in for 5 years of fucking misery. I'd probably take a few months in the County Jail before I would accept 5 years probation myself. My 7-Card-Studd chops could use the work anyhow.:D

you said you would probably hold out for a year. a year in what, jail or probation? because you said i will probably get it. i really can't afford a lawyer, i make $7 per hour under the table bro doing data-entry. if i go with a public defender, what is the most you think they can give me? remember, it is felony/misd charge.

A year probation. The only thing with a Public Defender is that they have to take as many cases as they get, which leaves them precious little time(or no time rather) to devote to you specifically. Weather or not you go with a Private Counselor, or a Public Defender WILL NOT matter though, since you aint going to Jail either way. What Im saying is that with a Private Attorney working for you, you might be able to cut the Probation time down SIGNIFIGANTLY. A PD is going to try to get you to take the first deal that comes your way, since he is trying to unload as many cases, as fast as possible.

yes i have always figured that. you're right. i really can not afford a lawyer, i have to stick with the PD. i wish i can get a lawyer though. these guys are really expensive. it sucks that it has to be this way. but i hope you are right in that i wont do time and probably get a year probation at most. will the military still accept a felony/misd charge? this sucks, i ruined my whole life. i am going to work now, i will return later. i added your name to my aol list, zerxes, so if you have any time to chat about this, i will send you a message. thanks aot and take care.

This is one of those situations where you cannot afford not to get a lawyer. Whether or not a public defender can get you off with jail time or not is a short term issue, a private attorney will deal with those bigger issues as in whether you end up with a criminal record.

Stop being a dumbass. Get a REAL lawyer and don't take advice from internet people on very serious issues.
