2. I suck at typing, and dont bother fixing my mistakes.

Hey guys we had our first round of counseling today. Never done anything like this before so I don't know how it's going. I am not closing any options at this point, just trying to make some sense and maybe learn a thing or 100 to make my next relationship better or fix this one.

I have read, reread every post on hear every day so far. I think we have enough "dump the whore" posts to live without another (hey it's the cold truth, I know)..

I am not giving in or being reactionary.. It's just way too soon to make the call on a life long decision. Besides, I need the time to get some things squared away as well as I stated before. I still would like the counseling for myself and possibly learn allot to make #2 work that much better.

If I make a big mess I will cause myself more problems than playing it cool.. It's a game of poker really.

If a woman has been left home to care for her children and the household and she did NOT work outside the home then she has no money and no job experience. REGARDLESS of why a marriage is dissolved BOTH are entitled to be in their children's lives. (Unless, of course there is a REAL REASON ie danger to the children or themselves) If EITHER the man OR the woman has been home raising the children and they are still young, WHOM SHALL BE CARING FOR THEM AFTER THEY SPLIT?

I have tried (though admittedly I am human and have made remarks in the past that I should not have. No problem BKM , I just take umbrage with the way you construct the arguments , and consider that if Spectre has found out this only recently then he should only be thinking of himself and his kids , but it is a measure of the person that he is not. You say that the guy should not "impose" financial hardship on his former spouse , I feel that he should no longer "support" her. I think the guy is probably more than a little broken inside , I have been there too.... and he is entitled to just get up and leave and come back to the situation when he feels ready , which is what I wished I had done. Personally I think that it is dumb that a loving and caring father should automatically cede rights to his children when he has not been in breach of his side of the marital contract but that is the state of modern societal law. Were it the case in other forms then chaos would ensue - firm pays supplier , supplier fails to deliver , court intervenes and tells supplier to keep half of payment. On this side of the Atlantic we have the famous case of Bob Geldof who was absolutely torn to shreds when his wife seduced Michael Hutchence , he felt nothing but sorrow since he loved his wife so much ,although he also lost his kids, it is only now after their deaths that he has recovered to any extent.
