lol...get this, I used to cheat on my hearing tests in school because I got frustrated by them. So I told the nurse that the earphones made my ears ring and I couldn't tell if I heard the note or if it was the ringing. So she told me I could face her and she'd tell me when she was pushing the button for sound and I'd tell her if I heard it. Naturally I lied and said yes to almost all of them. This worked till my senior year when she finally caught on and made me face away. She commeneted on my hearing loss and suggested I see a specialist but I never told my mom

Actually, a fast-growing tumor ate all the hearing bones away in my left ear. It's rather interesting how the other ear seems to pick up a lot of slack for it's non-functinging counterpart.

I'm now forced to play on 9.

Yeah...when I was 21 and finally got my hearing tested by an ENT they put me through a BATTERY of tests to try and find a cause for it, including looking for tumors. That was fun.

LOL, I went through, like, six or seven differnent university doctors, family practitioners, nurses, et cetera, and they were all clueless until I saw an ENT and got an MRI done.

DId they poke holes in your eardrum to look inside, too? That was bloody annoying!

I lost the eardrum in that ear, too, so I have to be careful about getting it near water and stuff.
