Also, one thing you may want to look into is visiting Vocational Rehab offices. They help hearing impaired individuals get new hearing aids (any kind) for free. This isn't the plastic klunky kind that run off a size "D" battery either. These are the newest models on the market. Any style you like. By any manufactor you wish.
VR also provides other services like free college sponsorships and such too. They will send you to school to be anything you wish and it costs you nothing. They even give you a gas card every week to assist with fuel costs.
Worth looking into. They are a division that is often overlooked and unheard of. They will do anything to help you because the more people they help the more budget they are given the next year.
