I was about to walk into my building when I hear this plane literally passing directly over my building flying south bound over Manhattan. It looked like a 737 Airliner. I knew something was wrong because airliners DO NOT fly over Manhattan. Two minutes later my friend Steve jumps out if his cube and screams out that a plane crashed directly into the World Trade Center.
I ran outside to check it out, and HOLY F*CKING SHIT, I have never in my life seen anything like it. I was standing on 6th Avenue and 24th St., which has a really nice view of both World Trade Centers, and the top floors were smoking in flames. There was a huge hole in the side of the building were the plane entered. It seems like it took out about 10-15 floors.
And as if that was bad enough! Another plane comes in from the south side of Manhattan and slams into the other tower. A huge fireball the size of the God Damn Epcot Center erupts out of the tower.
I could not believe what I just saw guys. Holy [censored] Mary Mother of God.
The city at this point is shut down. All subways, bridges, airports, buses, everything, is closed. I may be stuck in the city for the rest of the day.
I went back outside to watch the flames begin to work their way down into the lower floors on the first tower that was hit. Then, I guess from the structural integrity that was completey f*cked up, the top floors from about 70 to 100, came crashing into the rest of the building underneath. It was like a f*ckin sadwich. It took out the entire building on it way down.
Do you guys realize that 50,000 people work in each one of those towers on a regular business day? Not to mention that BOTH towers came crashing down into the Wall Street area, which is at the base of the towers, and it happens to be busiest part of New York City. I know because I worked in that area when I was a senior in college.
There was about 1 hour to evacuate both building before they collapsed, so I'm hoping that most people escaped.
Jesus Christ, I have never before in my life witnessed anything like that. I am seriously f*cked up over here. I cant work, everyone in the streets was crying. All those innocent people that lost their lives, my heart goes out to their families. The New York City skyline will never be the same. They took so much away from us.
At this point, I hope many of you realize that this is MOST probably an act of war.
