I just came home from this party I went to with my friend at a cabin that a bunch of guys from my school were having after we went to a movie. I don't like to party really but it was more of an observation. There was so much beer and stuff and so many people but I left after like 5 minutes and did not drink (my friend had another ride home),....I came home and my mom was like sleeping in her nightgown legs kind of open, drunk off one bottle of smirnoff or something. I like, NEVER see her drink---especially at home by herself??

Weird.

Its disturbing to see your parents drunk. My dad is not a drunk at all but damn he gets loaded easy. And then he starts getting silly. He's a retired attorney.

lol.

I didnt mention the part that we were driving towads the party and two guys who I knew needed a ride back to their car to rush to the store to get 6 more cases of beer (80 dollars..the one guy had mad connections and had the people at the store right ready as soon as we got there and helped them carry it to the car lol) (yeah their were a lot of people there). And man were they flying... we went with them.

And then......I have this guy friend who showed up at my house in the middle of me eating dinner, and I told him I might go to that party and I told him the relative location...but like, he just called me and he has a car full of people looking for it.

I'm so confused, why do some people go to such great lengths to drink?!

I really do not get it! I would rather read the Bible, which I did today! WOo

Some seek sex, drugs and alcohol(I know it's a drug too) for relief and others seek the "opiate of the masses," known as religion; Whatever makes you feel good.

when I lived with my ex I never let them see me drunk. However, i ran into her daughter last year at a local watering hole on eighteen and over night, she's a BGSU cheerleader, and it was awkward. It was creepy having her friends flirt with me, I see them as nothing more than little girls. I also felt obligated to question the young men who were obviously trying to "bed her" about their motives and give them the 411. Her mother called me the next day and thanked me for being "proxy dad" for the evening. :lmao:

This really has nothing to do with this post in general. But how old are you?

Alcohol is a social lubricant. Its meanings might be better understood later, though some take it too far...

Worst poster...that's a bold ass statement! :lmao:

I used to get pissed about all the cool video games kids have today Vs. my Atari but I look sooooo much better, joke on them. All the kids on the internet aren't having the experiences and fun we had.

To be honest I never read any one of her posts. Not one.

I'm gonna tell you why.

There are maybe 2 women on this forum whose posts I read.

When I see a girl like rocky road post I see two things.

I see underage girl. BAM. There goes the chance of fucking her without legal rammificatin.

I see highschool girl. BAM. There goes the possibility that one of her posts will enlighten me with something I haven't already heard of or experienced.

That's pretty much it. Maybe tomorrow I'll read into her posts and see why you say she has class.

p.s. i like my girls like summer...no class

people dont realize tag, hide n go seek, those kinds of games, even if not a sport, were great physical exercise. we'd run around all night (like you mentioned) and come home wore out and dirty.

talking about this, I understand why some older people talk about how things use to be better, but I think at this point, since the technolgical advancements made the past decade have caused a dramatic change in our children's culture.

in korea, I bet the games of hide n seek had 17 times as many kids as they do here.

I couldn't agree more. I was always outside as a kid, playing football, basketball, riding my bike, just straight chillin with the kids on my street and neighborhood. My younger sisters and friends are constantly on AIM, myspace or whatever...I'm always telling them to get outside more.

i dont know, maybe. i know in southern ohio we would have about 20 and go to the cemetary at night. talk about being the "seeker" and having heart attacks when you found those who were hiding.

oh yes, the cemetary at night version of hide and go seek. Of course. I've hidden behind a few a tombstones in my day, dug up a few graves to escape site of the seeker. When I play hide n go seek, I play to win. When you play with me, you better prepared to search and get bored of searching cause that's exactly what's gonna happen when you mess with the best.

Weird.

Before you make your Mom look bad, could you clarify? One bottle as in a 750ml of straight vodka? Or one bottle as in a cooler, because if it's the latter then what's the big deal? People have a drink on occasion and they don't have to be in the company of others to do it. If it's uncharacteristic of your Mom, maybe she just decided she would enjoy a drink and maybe it hit her a little harder because she doesn't usually? On the other hand, finding her asleep doesn't necessarily mean she was drunk.

"like sleeping in her nightgown legs kind of open"
I'm leaning towards a full fifth

You mean she was sleeping in her NIGHTGOWN??? Her legs were KIND OF OPEN??? Yes because we tie our legs together when we sleep, I can completely understand now.

I guess AA's next. ;)

I was kind of fond of Spin the Bottle & Truth or Dare. :p

I don't think it makes her Mom look bad. She just had a drink/got drunk, when she thought her baby was gonna be out all night. A lot of parents cut loose when they are away from their kids.
I do see the irony though.

I don't understand it either. I think the people who go to these great lengths to drink are the ones who have no passion for anything in life. They don't have a hobby, business or goal. They'd rather bury their frustration and hopelessness in a bottle. They'd rather be around people who drink to do the same. That's why they look at you funny when you tell them you don't drink. They realize you're not "one of them." Drinking every week or so is totally fine in my book, but people who go out of their way to get drunk 3-4 times during the week is pathetic. I don't know what everyone's impression is of me on EF, but I drink on average 3 times a month. Just stay focused on what's important. You're going to need a pretty strong mindset to escape the college partying lifestyle as well. It will be interesting to read your posts as your progress through senior year of HS and freshman year of college.

What are your goals anyhow?

Why would he be referring to me? I'm not ugly.

What makes *YOU* think you can go around judging everyone here?

Before you get a chance to respond, let me make things clear for a sec.

I'm open to peoples opinions and stuff, but I REALLY REALLY don't like when people judge me, so i'm requesting that you be more sensitive to me when you showcase your ideas of how and when a person should act.

I'll admit I can be a party pooper sometimes, and maybe going beyond my normal level of fun wouldn't be so bad and I'd still get into Heaven, and I wouldn't get grounded, and i'd still get into college, and i'd still have a great life ahead of me, and i'd still be able to be my own unique individual, everything would be just peachy, .... but you hurt my feelings when you state your opinions in this manner, as if you're saying i'm not good enough, or i'm not doing things the right way, because and i'm sure you'll agree with me on this: no one knows what even THEY should be doing, so where is your right to judge my life.

So, please...stop.

PS. You guys need to stop commenting in derogatory ways towards me. I will not continue to put up with it, so i'm just giving you a heads up.
