Take it from someone with some experience here, you will have to learn to deal with derogatory comments, and you will have to learn to deal with people judging you. We've got ALL types of people here. All walks of life, all different religions and faith. Many religions are very judgemental by nature. Some people here are highly intelligence, some are the opposite. Some have a narrorow minded view of life, others are some of the most accepting and understanding that you will meet.
The thing is, this board is public, so what you put out there is basically open for criticism and comment from EVERYONE. I've endured pretty much every possible criticism and then some. But I don't complain, I put a lot of info about me out there.. my love life, my personal life, I even post pictures and what not all time.
I am vocal about my thoughts on many topics too, and a lot of my views and beliefs are NOT very popular, and to some they are highly offense.
To survive on a board like this it definitely takes some thick skin, people who can let the bullshit roll off their backs the easiest tend to do the best.
believe me, we all know and recognize when some narrow minded douchebag is casting judgement... don't let it affect you personally.

The way I speak tends to be shorter and more to-the-point, so I don't go on and on with listing the exceptions to what I'm saying. Maybe you don't get what i'm saying because you're used to long explanations, but I thought I made it clear that I was making a request for less sexual comments. I didn't say I was going to go cry about it or slit my wrists. Why do you have to fight against someone's simple request? And don't tell me that you're just trying to protect those who WILL continue to talk this way----it sounds to me like you're telling me that you had to go through shit, so I have to also.

So I was just going back through some old threads.........it's preety fun to do.
I disagree with many things I have said, though. I re-read this thread and can't remmeber any derogatory comments on this particular thread. If their was one, I should have quoted it to "SHOWCASE" lol, my point.
I'm glad one person understood the ironicy, but if I was one of you all I would not have seen it. The fact is that I never go out to drink/party, and I never see my mom with alcohol, so it was ironic. And I see whoever's point it was that my mom was probobly just relaxing/enjoying her free time, and I understood that before. I wasn't freaking out about it, it was just ironic.
I don't know what was into me during the making of this thread, but I apoligize guys.
I don't put a lot of effort into each post, I simply type, and so it takes me a while to realize my faultyness, unless someone points it out to me, and even then, I am known to be disagreeable. Soory again.
