I ran a mile & a half in 7 1/2 minutes in basic. When I left I was doing 10 k every morning in 45 minutes.
Now I'm lucky if I can run for 7 1/2 minutes.
You really think you would have a chance? Were you a speed demon and do you think you can still run fast? Just 2 years ago, I outran a guy that said he could run a 4.6. I haven't gotten any slower. I think I'll beat you by several yards if we go 70 yds.

there is a huge difference between running a mile and a half in 7 1/2 mins and running 2 miles in less than 8
that being said, thats still a damn good time you ran

Yeah, I know.
But I was 18 at the time. For my first timed run, the 1 1/2 miles took 13 min. After 7 weeks, it went down to the 7 1/2 min.
I think that was my last actual timed run, 25 yrs ago.

I don't suppose you'd come to Dallas? I will try to make it. Put it on the bookie forum. I can't believe I'm gonna drive 90 miles just to smoke you. Now tell me, we're you a speedster? What was your 40 time? If by some chance you win, I want it to be known if you were ever a track star. Cause otherwise, I don't see how you can beat me. You can't out bench me or out squat me, what makes you think you can out run me?
