I can never keep my gains

maldorf said:
One problem with eating off cycle like you were when you were on cycle is the fact that your metabolisim has slowed down considerably and you just end up putting on fat while you lose some muscle.

There is no need to eat for 2 while bulking on a cycle. People eat too much on cycles, instead eat big but clean all the time and you will not loose the gains that easy and not put on a lot of fat while off cycle.

yup something noone on here wants to believe.

Yes, this particularly applies to strength gains. I always lose a significant amount of what I gained on my bench etc. When I competed in "not-tested" Powerlifting, I was on all year. I bridged with Prop and nandrolone, and then hit it hard with D-rol, Enathate or Suspension, Tren when I was training specifically for a comp. I have been clean 1 1/2 years now. I lost all my gains. However, I am now looking good naturally and very strong again.

Anyone who says they kept their strength gains after such a drop in testosterone levels after coming of is fooling themselves.

Good post

I'm glad most of you here see it for what it is... GENETIC LIMIT. Excellent point, if you couldn't gain it while natural, what makes you think you can keep it once you come off. Excellent. I think juice can take you to your gentic potential, but not past it.

With that in mind, should one either stay on permantly or not go on at all?

now that i have some AAS experience and knowledge i am convinced steroids are as addicitive , mentally, as a rec drug. it is very difficult to give up that high of being bigger, stronger, and buffer that comes with steroid use.

Diet. Genetic limit is an excuse, imo. You can't put on 8 lbs of muscle in a couple weeks then 1) eat the way you did while on or 2) eat the way you did before you were on. Your body can't maintain that extra mass unless you give it the correct calories to maintain what you've added. This is where most guys fail. If you haven't figured out exactly how much (and of what) to eat to gain X amount before you're on, you'll never figure out how to keep it when you're off.

In my opinion, you should try to stay off for as long as you can. I honestly believe that there are way too many people out there who are lazy. they want gains now. When you are on gear, your protein synthesis is about 50 times greater than someone who is off. So, you'll make great gains. The problem is that alot of these guys know little about proper training and nutrition. As a result, they lose everything quickly and become WORSE than when they were not using at all.

There is one guy in our gym and I regard him as nothing more than a joke. His training is shit, his nutrition is shit, he spends most of the time poncing around the gym, but thanks to a truck load of gear, he looks great. However, when he comes off, he literally falls to pieces in a few weeks. then....Boom...Back again!

Don't stay on all the time. I did that and I would not recommend it. Fuck it, we're amateur BB's. At least Ronnie and Jay get paid for going to the expence and danger of loading themselves all year.

If you use the time off = time on (10 weeks of a cycle, then 10 weeks off everything after you did your PCT), you will still have kept a decent amount and will quickly pick up on your next one. Don't bridge. Instead accept it as part of BB that you'll lose abit while off.

So, the only way to keep your gains, is to do another cycle ater appropriate time off. Then, when you reach the day that you decide never to juice again, expect to find it mentally hard. I did....but now look and feel great natural. Never said I'd never cycle again, but this time I'm in no rush!

I've done a decent number of cycles and haven't maintained gains from a one of them. Granted, I have not always made the most sensible decisions at the conclusions of my cycles. And, I have not always done PCT. However, there have been several cycles where I did a good PCT, but, given enough time, I ultimately drop back to the state I was in before I began. Why is that? I think it's just the way my body is. It has a muscle mass limit which is written in my genes. The juice takes me past that level, but, once I come off I begin to return to my previous level of mass. What do you guys think?

Most of my cycles have been 8-10 weeks long. Consisting primarily of test, d-bol, some winny and EQ.

With proper PCT, I tend to keep some size and some strength but, my bench goes right in the crapper about two weeks out. :sulk:

Come to think of it, my diet kind of goes in the crapper too.
