I am headed back to bodybuilding!

Are you still following old-school?

Yeah broly. My core is definitely getting stronger. I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable with my squat as well. In fact, everything is getting stronger. I'm hovering around 190 right now too. :)

Tonight I'm planning on changing it up for the night and going for some heavy singles on deads. Maybe even a PR. :)

Same choice I made years ago when my body really started to give out, smartest thing I've ever done (next to marry my wife)

Nice to hear from you Needsize.

I have decided that my bodytype is better suited for building muscle than hoisting crazy weights.

For one, my joints aren't thick and secondly, my limbs are relatively long. I have always had to build a lot of muscle to become stronger.

I now train a lot like you except I am not using 5 x 5.

From Zero,

You will be amazed how extra bodyweight/weight can can influence your strength levels!!

Sounds like you are making good progress.

Keep us posted. . I am always inspired by your training journal. . it helps keep the motivation up!

Nice workout LS.

I always knew you would go back to the BB game. You will master this game as you have the others. The Hammer is supporting you brutha.

How did you feel after those 10 rep sets for squats? Yack?

Actually, that workout is to come tomorrow evening.

High rep squats always make me want to lose my lunch!!

Perhaps this was a bit hasty. Allow me to explain WHY I said this:

Elitefitness is a DISCUSSION BOARD. Many of us would like to take it a step further and call it a COMMUNITY. Maybe you missed Louden's post where he had a laundry list of injuries, probably all amassed from his several years of training (most injuries will only get worse not being addressed). Now, WHAT GOOD does it do for you to be a mindless automoton and simply say "HELL YEAH! HIT THAT SHIT HARD BRO!" I mean, you basically said the EXACT SAME THING to a TEENAGER who is going to use a gram of gear when he's 180 lbs at 6'3" tall. You're doing a serious disservice and rationalizing things for posters, which is EXACTLY what they want to hear. You have no concern for their safety in either case (and who knows what other posts). And you say that I'm an asshole (and also make up something I didn't say) for trying to open his eyes to his health, which is surely at hand. You are the irresponsible one, and exactly what these posters DO NOT need.

Then ..Lets all come together and ban me.... Yea I know Im an ugly fucker, a troll...One that would rip your skin off, and pull your insides out through your lipless mouth. But of course Im just making conversation....

If you're uncomfortable with your appearance then that's your issue, but that's not the definition of troll that I was referring to. Maybe you should go help that kid out who is probably now wondering why he's losing his hair when everyone said he was the MAN for doing a gram of gear a week.

Im very comfortable with my appearence. This is how I choose to be. So people like yourself stay the fuck away from me. Kind of like a warning you could say. When did I ever suggest someone do a gram a week?

I like you, WB, but I honestly don't see why Debaser deserved being called an asshole. He was simply concerned for Louden's injuries, and he's got a point: simply training somewhat lighter is a partial solution at best.

Now, I wouldn't characterize you as a troll. You've been positive 99% of the time :) However, it wouldn't hurt to relax a little dude...telling Debaser to stay out of your way, that you'll skin him, serving warnings etc. is extreme, not like the "you" I have seen elsewhere in the forum.

There's no reason we all cannot get along here. EF has consistently impressed me with the camaraderie shared among its members, something I cannot say for many websites.

Feuding is energy better spent on the iron.
