I am headed back to bodybuilding!

Standing DB presses, eh? That's sort of like Mike Katz in "Pumping Iron" :) Cool stuff. I've yet to try them myself.

Sounds like a good workout to me. I've got pecs, delts, back and triceps tomorrow myself. My hamstrings and lower back are so damn sore from my SLDL attempt of 275x20 yesterday (fell short AGAIN), there's no way I'll even look at a rack pull for the DC-style back thickness move. Oh well, can't win 'em all ;)

I probably missed where you might've said as much, but how close are you to failure with most of these movements, Ian?

And what happened to the Megs avatar?!?!

I really like these. . . I feel that these really target the delts. They are super strict and it is really hard to cheat. It is also easy to get owned by heavy dumbbells lol. Give them a try. . you may like them.

I appreciate the comments!!! Training chest, delts, back, and triceps is a good combination. Your stiff leg dead is really impressive. . you will get there. With that kind of weight and reps. . .you are destined to puke lol. So you have mixed feelings about the rack pull? Please explain. . not everyone likes these. People are able to find exercises that work for them.

Nothing will be to failure. Right now, I will concentrate on form and getting a good burn/sweat. I need my training mechanics to be perfect so I can target the muscle. If I feel saucy, I will probably increase the weights and go to failure. For right now, I will probably work with 65 to 72 percent of my max.

And what happened to the Megs avatar?!?!

The Megs avatar may be revived in the near future. However, we all may witness a Soundwave, Shockwave, or possibly a Starscream avatar as well. Right now, I have to promote OU wrestling. . . lol. (not really, just a huge fan!!)

Debaser,

You are offering some reasonable advice. . believe me I am listening to you. I have been working with my chiropractor and he has been a huge help.

You are correct about scar tissue. In fact, I have had a build up in my right rear delt for nearly 5 years.

I'll do that!

Heh, thank you.

What I meant was, my lower back is still so darn sore I couldn't even think about trying another deadlift movement today :) I was still tempted, though, and thought about shrugs--poor man's deadlift--as an alternative. If I hadn't slammed my right index finger in the DB rack, I might've tried them instead, LOL.

Sounds good.

And hey, promoting OU's cool :) I do like the idea of a Soundwave or maybe Thundercracker avatar, though...hmm...*scratches chin, deep in "thought"*

Shockwave was pretty cool. I used to hate Starscream but over time I grew to like his duplicity...the fact that his voice was the same as Cobra Commander's helped, too. I was a big CC fan ;)
