How to tell if you have an Absess and what to do?

Other than fever and redness are there any other signs to be sure if you have an absess? Say its just swollen or just hurts to the touch but not really red to the touch? Maybe could the gear just be sitting in the same spot if it wasn't really worked too well. Say it was a glute injection, not really much working out on that area, but it hurts like a mofo. If so what are the options to remedy the problem. Should he stop altogether due to the pain. Not able to walk right or sleep much at night do to the pain. Pinning with ethenate once a week at 400mg. Someone please help it hurts. lol

If the fever, redness and warmth to the touch last more than a week and seem to be getting worse then you should see a doctor. Its common to have soreness and some swelling for several days with some injects. Don't chance it if it gets worse. I did, and it sucked

Look for a hard, reddish, tender lump. It will usually appear at the injection site, but it can also pop up in other places. The lump might feel warmer than the skin around it. It might even feel hot. It usually hurts. It might look pink and puffy. If it gets bigger, the infection is getting worse. As the infection speads, you might see red streaks spreading out and away from the abscess. The infection might make you feel tired or cause fever or chills. You might have chest pains if the infection goes to your heart or lungs.

Treat at HOME with a HOT SOAK if:
You don't have any red streaks or hot puffy skin around it.

Go to a CLINIC if:
It has not improved after 5 to 7 days.
The lump gets bigger or more painful.
You see red streaks spreading out from the lump.
The lump is hot, puffy, and pink, or if you get a fever.

Go to the EMERGENCY ROOM if:
You have chest pains.
You have chills or a high fever.
The infection looks like it is spreading really fast.

Slayer Now that is an avi!!

Thanks, I did feel kinda warm for the last two days but today no temp at all, actually feel good except for the site pain. Trying to avoid the DR. but will go if its an emergency. So you think soaking in hot bath and then stretching will do the trick. Need to do something about this, haven't been to the gym in 4 days. Was extremely tired on Saturday, slept for about a 5 hour nap. Any other info would be awesome. Think I should stop the cycle or switch the inject site, only my second time around.

WOW that was soooo funny people at work are wondering what I am laughing at!!!

Yes, but first I would put a hot pad on it for 10 min, massage it a little. Then streach it out. Then hot pad. Then strech some more. Once it is fully streched and the pain is gone it should not come back again. Might want to use a diff. site each time.
