i fuggin' HATE rollercoasters. . .i'm a bit of a control freak i suppose. . .i'll get in a car and go 200mph though. . .or climb up on top of a railroad bridge and jump off into the creek. . .i also enjoyed that 55mph waterslide at typhoon lagoon (disney). . .but, rollercoasters? nfw. . .my wife and kids love them, though. . .

I love coasters...Cedar Point was one of my favorite road-trips.

Yup, I make my way there every summer. It is a mere hours dive for me. It's best to pick a nice slow day when school is back in session, get the front seats, hands up the whole way...ahhh it's a rush. I would rather skydive though.

You pretty much summed up why I don't dig them very much. You have no control over them at all.

I've driven as fast as 165mph in my Vette and can't say I felt afraid at all, because I was in control. If they gave me a control pad I could use to operate a coaster from my seat on the thing, I wouldn't be remotely afraid.

I hate those things now. I hit the pool on some monster slide at White Water a few years ago and it yanked my bikini top right up to goddamn neck.

As a kid I loved them. However now, NO friggin way dude...We went to canobie lake park last weekend and I went on a few rides. One was a dragon Kiddie coaster. Of course adults fit in it..I totally did not like it, never mind the actual adult roller coasters. LMAO

I get scared that they will malfunction. Not really scared of the rides themselves, but more that they will fail..

Btw, teacups are my fav!
