How many here are loners in the gym?

Loner here too, I have people that i go to the gym with sometimes, but im sure not to be on the same schedule as them, they are lazy and throw me off, its a good thing though cuz with all their yappin i can stay around for 90 mins or so and get in my real workouts..... Go hard or go home, self improvement/ self loathing is my modivation, i hate myself and wanna be better, that keeps me intense, oh and a nasty attitude:D

I've been a loner for two years.

You start to learn who to ask for a spot and who not to ask.

Yeah that my deal. I've been working out at the school gym for three years now. I recognize the guys who are there everyday and they recognize me. A lot of them remember me from when I used to be on the track team, so it isn't tough to get a spot when needed. And a good pair of headphones can keep the people you don't want to spend time talking to away.

QUOTE]Just wonderd how many here train solo and what do you do to keep motivated?[/QUOTE]

I have a before picture of what I looked like two years ago as my background screen on my computer. If that can't give me enough motivation to lift, nothing could. :D :D

Solo bro.
I don't like even talking to people in the gym.
I'll nod and say what's up, but that's about it.
I hate people that go to the gym and think it's fucking social hour.
Lift or go home.
They'll crowd around a machine and just talk.
Aggravating.

sensing a trend among the elite... loner here as well. haven't seen many large guys at my gym w/partners. have had some in the past, but then you have to coordinate schedules etc. etc.

I train alone, I work shifts so I train at different times of the day. I also train at home and at work when I can.

A good training partner will make you do weights you`d never try on your own! He`ll push you to your limits which is hard to decide where your limit is by yourself.

This does not mean that you cannot get big training alone as some pros do this.

Mono i mono, me and the weights. Head phones are a great because when people see you wearing them, they know your at the gym for one reason and it's not to talk. I'll only ask a few select people to spot me when needed because they will spot me and leave, not make small talk. The times I do work out with a partner they have to push me as I do them other wise go join the chicken-heads clucking over at the cardio section.

asone.........

Glad to see I'm not the only one who works out alone. It's alot easier to do drop sets though, when you have a partner there.

Solo Bro...

Had a great workout partner years ago, but if they miss, it screws up your routinue.

I get in, hit it and get out.... all business.
