I know you have to wait approx. 30 min (No less than 15.) after taking glucorel to eat, but how long after you take it does it stay effective?

I am a VERY slow eater (approx. 45minutes to an hour sometimes.). I have always been a slow eater, not to mention, eating slow actually helps me control my caloric intake. Am I unknowingly sabotaging my efforts with glucorel?

I searched and didn't find anything on this question so if this is a repeat I apologize and just post the link to the thread or post that can answer it.

Maybe I didn't phrase this right....

How long do the effects of glucorel last after it is taken?

In the case of a slow eater, is there a time window for them to be done with their meal before the glucorel stops working it's magic?

Im Not sure, but, it seems when you take it ... 15 mins later it starts looking for your intake of food, and probably wouldnt stop until all tablets are called for... gram wise~

Not much to add here except that when I take it before a heavy meal (4 or 5 slices of pizza) I can literally feel it chewing up and spitting out all the badness. Lots of girgles in my belly!! Not a bad feeling at all, in fact its nice to know something I am taking is actually working.

Thanks for the input guys!

Yeah, i've been using glucorel for a while now and for some reason just never thought of this question before.

I remember reading a thread where Mac or Ulter told some lady that had children and due to dealing with them at dinner time found it difficult to eat right at that 30 minute mark. One of them told her she could eat as soon as 15 minutes, but I am thinking they said an hour after taking the glucorel was too late. So if eating an hour after taking the glucorel is too late, wouldn't taking an hour to eat, lessen the effect on said meal?

thats a good point, yet I think it just has to do with food intake by that time (an hour), not that if you take an hour to eat it will stop working, i honestly think that if you didnt start eating within an hour the stomach acid or what not would void the pills...

i would say just make sure you start eating within that allotted time!

as far as i can recall i think it has a 1.30-2 hour window, but I'm sure Macro/Ulter will be here soon enough :p
