How do your lifts compare?

Just wondering what you lift more in...
For 10 reps i
bench - 140
deads - 185
squat - 295
i think my bench is weak for my size, or is it proportionate?

Good question !

I was also looking for a kind of chart about how much you "should" lift for every basic movement based on how much you bench press or squat or DL

For me personally:

Deadlift: 505
Beast Lift: 590 (deadlift with the bar behind the legs)
Flat Bench: 380 (probabally closer to 400 before the hurricane)
Incline Bench: 375 (likely higher as well)
Squats: Dont do em!

At around 188-191lbs and 5'8. Everyone is different though, and body structure, years training and the type of training along with many other factors will determine the results. I guess Id consider a 405lb bench and a 600lb deadlift "proportionate", but we all tend to have our twisted little perspectives on these things. Weight lifting becomes an addiction for many, and I know for me, satisfaction seems almost impossible. Just keep training hard in all movements and your body should take care of the rest.

walkingbeast-how many reps are those for and why dont u squat?

Those are all one rep maxes. I just never really did the movement. Still feels very awkward to me, and with the recent back problems it feels dangerous on my lower back, even with light weights. Deadlifts became much more natural to me, and even those were very awkward at times. But I used to love them before I injured myself.

If you can squat 300 for 10 reps and can only get 140 for 10 on the bench, you are def. non-proportunate. Not saying you are weak, but you really need to concentrate more on the upper body to balance out...........

He may not be squating with proper form, either.

Although credit for him - it is rare for anyone on this board to post their lifts.

Here are mine for the key stats (I use the 5x5 program - reset it two months ago, all are increasing by 5 lbs each time):

5x5 flat bench - 160
5x5 incline (first time) - 140

5x5 Deads - 245

5x5 Incline Leg Press - 500 (Going to 540 next time)
2x10 Squats - 150 (I use to have them to 275 but restarted to 135 and am increasing them again 5lbs at a time to focus on form)

you won't find a chart to tell you what you "should" be doing- everyone's body composition is different and there are so many variables. you should only be doing the best you can.

for me, my best lifts are:
bench: 170 raw, 205 in a shirt
deadlift: 260
squat: i think the same but due to a spinal injury, i can't squat anymore.

currently

squat for 10 reps - 335 - never tested my max, i did 405 a few times a few months ago
deadlfit for 10 reps - 365 - havent tested in a while, i have done 455 before, not too long ago
bench press for 10 reps - 315, trying 385 in a few weeks!!!

i thought i saw in another thread you squatted 215?? either way 185 atf is still damn good..you would put most guys in my gym to shame lol
Easily....I'll bet many dudes cant go atf wit 185.........well, possibly, but half wont get back up...... :p

i weight 190lbs at 5'9"

no arch bench press:240 for a double
conventional deadlift:395lbs
atf oly full squat:240 for a double and 195lbs for 3 with a 2 second pause at the bottom of each rep.
standing military press:170 for a single

5'10.5" @ 255lbs.
flat barbell: 385 for 10, 405 for 6
incline barbell: 335 for 6
deads: 315 for 10
squats: 315 for 10.

Yes, i dont pay a whole lot of attention to my legs.

Bench 5 x 225
Row 5 x 185
Ass To Calf Squat 5 x 225
Deadlift 5 x 275

Then I threw out my back and now trying to get back to the above lifts.

Why bother? :FRlol: :FRlol: Awesome upper body strength!! Keep KILLING that shit!!

I never do 10 reps in those movements so there's no way for me to tell. I hate generic rep ranges. I do singles mainly in squats and will never go above 5 reps tops. I like sets of 3-6 on bench and I don't like heavy regular deads, but like dumbell stiff-legged deads for 12-15 reps. Every bodypart I train differently rep wise. Shoulders 8-10, biceps 6-8, triceps 12-15, forearms 15-20, back 3-10, traps 15-20, abs 8-10, calves 12-15 etc. I've found every body part likes a different rep range.

horrible knees, arthur (arthritis) usually visits me every night.

A good excuse. Me, I just dont really give a fuck. Im in this for myself. Not to impress anyone. My goals were never to be proportional. Just a beast and a freak overall. Lots of ways to accomplish this aside from weight lifting. But it surely helps. I train my legs, but it doesnt consume me as it once did. I dont have to vomit every week before I leave the gym, like I did for years before. I was obsessed with intensity to the point of vomitting, always. Always fucked up my eating for a while too. All that, and very little in return. Now I just train legs the way I feel like training em. FUCK everything else!! TRAIN OR FUCKIN DIE!!

Haven't done a 10 rep max on anything...in a long long time.
I've close gripped 315 x 10 and 365 x 5.
Deadlifted 500 x 15 in 60 seconds like 2 years ago (deadlift is higher now)
I've raw benched 431.
Log Clean and Press 325.5 x 1
3" thick bar Clean and Press 300 x 1
Squat 800 x 1, 650 x 8 in a contest.
Raw deadlift 705.5 x 1
