How can you ask for a prenob from someone you marry?

How can you ask for a prenup from someone you marry?

This sounds riddiculous to me. It basically means "I don't trust you enough", but then I don't see the purpose of marrying someone.

The way I was brought up, marriage ment the equal sharring of everything. I guess the defenitions have changed these days.

well one of the doctors i used to work for was married three times. his first two wives cheated on him and they got the house and vehicles after the divorce. hell, he was living in a beat up van at one point. so he got a prenup with his third wife. which is pretty much useless since it doesnt mean anything after 10 years of marriage. personally, i would never ask for a prenup with my girl. im still young and naive though

So it means that he trusted the first two wives and they cheated on him, and he doesn't trust the third wife but still married her.

Why not just wait long enough till you completely trust the person before a marriage?

It's basically putting money above love. All it means is that you don't trust her so you need an agreement that she isn't marrying you for money.

If you don't trust her, then why marry her?
