I am sure that I have found articles that correlate no sex with elevated testosterone levels in men and women.
Chinese theory/medicine states that each individual has a central energy store, or Chi. Everything comes from this source of energy or life force.
The theory also says that in men, sperm is part of the ultimate life force, so they should refrain from ejaculation as much as possible.
This Chi, or essence as it goes, the body uses to heal injuries to perform at their best.
This also fits in with bits of Tantric lovemaking, where the idea is to trascend the physical, sex for spiritual enlightenment so to speak, and you refrain from orgasm for as long as possible.
That is my theory and I am sticking to it.
