Highschool - What Do You Miss?

Hard-Bitten

New member
alright (= I might be one of the youngest poster here, but I still do miss high school. Annnd I know that some of you may consider a bittersweet moment.
so my question and curiousity is.. what do you miss most about high school? and what did you hate about high school (=

In all honesty, I just want to start a new thread!
like it? :qt:

I miss: coming to class late after practices with my gym bag and my uniform on the floor and being sent back to come inside more appriorately(=

I hate: picture day!

I was popular in high school and School President

I was NOT liked by everyone, and had many confrontations
but it was for the best

High School is good in a way since it allows you to see the most basic behavior of people when they ar fully self aware

its a snap shot of most people

the soft skin of 18 year old girls, it's just smoother and nicer than 27 year olds even. age starts to set in on us all so damn fast.
agreed lol

I don't miss a thing I hated highschool, bunch of nonsensical cliquish bullshit. College was such a relief from it. Looking back the only redeeming thing from highschool was meeting my two best friends.

I was a nerd a very shy skinny 130lb 5'5 nerd with acne and bad skin.I was sure not to show up on picture day and did not have my face in any year books.I did not want to be remebered.Every morning I would wake up and look in the mirror and wish I was someone else .I had only 2 friends and they were just as nerdy as me.It took me years before I was comfortable in my own skin.

The only thing I wish I could change would have been to change myself, I would have talked to people, played sports and lifted weights at age 16 and asked out nicole jerez to the prom .looking back at it she was hinting around to me that she wanted to go and had no one to go with but i was to shy and afraid of rejection so i didnt ask and just assumed everyone would say no anyways.

but onto the good
I hit a growth spurt after school not a huge one but from age 18-19 i grew 3 inches to be 5'8 then at age 19 I started lifting by age 23 I was upto 215lbs with a 32 inch waiste I was obsessed .So in those 6 years I packed on 85lbs and grew three inches. It really helped with my self esteem and turned me in to a manwhore so most of my mid twenties I was a freak getting all the action i missed back in high school.

My beautiful gf that I was in love with. The bitch.

I agree 100%......

my 5' platinum blonde gf who I'd nail the shit out of.

A lot less responsibility

Pulling high GPA's with as minimal work as possible

Drinking and getting fucked up whenever I could

The intensity of weight training class

Gaining 5lbs off cell-tech (haha)

All the hot girls

My cool car

It was pretty dumb otherwise...I remember this one girl asking me "so like..does your group do a lot of drugs..."

naiveness

At this age you don't realize how much life sucks

Hot high school girls too

Honestly I dont miss high school or any thing about it. Nor do I miss the way that I was back in highschool.

Friends and the best fun teachers we had!

Playing around in class!!

You are quite young but because you have REAL LIFE responsibilities you are very mature and I do agree with you.

There was not A DAMNED thing about high school that I miss. It had nothing to do with reality. College was blissfull joy in comparison.

I also agree, I did have lots of friends back then but none really worth hanging on to. Someone recently asked me if I wanted a myspace account so those long lost friends could find me....a big HELL NO!! If I wanted to still be friends with them I would of kept touch with them. People change (or most of us do) after hight school. I grew up and moved on. Now my son will be attending high school next year. :worried:

My high school friends were pretty much losers. I'm one of the few that amounted to anything.

I had to move 3 times in HS and even had to start a new school in the middle of my senior year. I can honestly say that I don't miss a single thing about HS

thats what im talking about. hopefully i will get to experience the pleasure of a young woman before i age too quickly.

Not much...only thing I miss is gym class every day. I wish I could work out now in the middle of the afternoon.

unfortunately the college I went to was equally as cliquish as my highschool( a small private baptist christian college) and there was a lot of homework and bs in college, and all i have to show is a psych degree for it.
worst life decision i've made thus far.

anyway though, i sort of had an eating disorder in highschool too, and thankfully i didnt have that in college. so, i guess in the end they both equally sucked.

I miss high school, miss getting to see all my friends whenever I wanted to. Miss playing varisty basketball on Friday nights in a packed gym. Miss drinkin beer during golf practice, only did that a few times.
Wish I would have went out for football though, still regret that.

I LOVED college and law school. I wish someone would pay me just to attend college...lol.

honestly I didn't care for high school and didn't keep in touch with any of the people I knew after about 2 months of college. I always felt I was being talked down too in college by the leadership. I wasnt picked on or anything, was decently popular and had an ok time in HS, but just hated the atmosphere. It always felt so childish to me. Then I got to college and felt like an inmature weenie compared to everyone else. But it was cool and the chicks were much hotter. :D

Everything...it was close to perfect.

Great friends

Cool cars

Free gas

Cool parents

Good teachers...mostly

High school was new and full of freedom concepts

Not a care in the world...other than a clean car and a black book of potential dates

I miss being popular. I miss being the envy of my friends because I hung out with college chicks during my junior year. I reallllllllly miss the parties. Huge parties out in the middle of nowhere with nothing but a jambox, a bon fire, and a shit ton of beer. IMO the bars don't have shit on those days.

I miss those days. No responsibilities, the only thing you had to plan was were you where going to go on the weekends. I wish I knew then what I know now so I would change a few things, but it just went too fast. Had a great time though. I would like to relive those days sometimes.
Now its go to work, pay bills, and IF I get the chance to go out, I'm usually too tired from work and other responsibilities that I just chill out.

110% I notion that about College was more fun then High School, just sucks that a lot my best friends weren't in the same college -- but met great people and then later turn out that you're connect to everyone that you know !

Mostly, high school sucked. I had some fun, but overall the experience was not good. College is where it's at.

why is it that everyone said that to me when i was young,

and that i went to college, and it ended up sucking equally?
it was just as cliquey as highschool.

man i got jipped.

it was a long time ago for me.

i liked getting high on the walk to school, at lunch, at art class, and on the walk home.

i hated having to fit in, which i didn't.

Speaking of getting high ...lol I did that once and never again.. and i have to say it was so much fun! :verygood: :verygood:

ya miss being surrounded by chicks pretty much every day cause they all wanted my cock..

high school sucked. sucked, sucked, sucked, sucked sucked. Cliquey bullshit.
I didn't really like it.
University was cool. Looking back, I wish I'd taken better advantage of it.

Best years of my life,

loved being senior driving everywhere in a 67 firebird, am pushbutton radio, 400 cubic inches and a 4 barrel, redline tires, wide ovals of course. 3200 bucks without a trade.

Graduated in 1968,

Then we had the tet offensive and life kind of went to hell.

It was sweet because all the girls were virgins. Date one for a few months, take it, move on :)

I had an amazing group of friends in highschool, good times. I'm in touch with all of them.

I wish I'd taken more advantage of it. I'm only a freshman in college but even when talking to senior chicks, I see how damn stupid and naive most of them are. Funny that just 6-7 months ago they all seemed like unatainable godesses and now they're all a bunch of dumb sluts simply because I'm a "college student" I wouldve been involved in the party scene more and not woulda not been so shy around the opposite sex. I've taken care of 1/2 of those things in college.......

the bonding on a near daily basis with people all going through the same thoughts, emotions, and experiences for the first time right there with you.

The few hot chics we had in our school is what I'll miss. That whole era was pretty carefree and fun though. Laughed a lot through school too, which made it go by fast.

I was actually talking about myself, but I'd like to know you :qt:

I remember three of us skipping school one day to go to a mall in a bigger city. My buddy shows up at my other friend's house and says, "Where's Tristan? We're suppose to leave at 11!". Bro replies, "He'll be here at 11:30" and sure enough I was without ever even talking to him.

Point: Anyone who knows me takes in consideration I'm about half an hour behind at all times ;)

Getting ready to just go out is nothing...like 20 mins including shower. However if I'm getting ready to go out AND I'm expecting company afterwards  , then it could easily take me an hour and a half to get ready ;)

Still less than you no doubt :spin:

Actually (= thats exactly like me!
If expecting company then.. I will likely to change my clothes 3924 times :(
