Help with tendonitis>>>>>>>>>>

This sucks, i am doing fina winny and prop and the gains have been good, but i have what i hope is just tendonitis in my left shoulder and it is really holding back my lifts. i can't get any deca right now and really dont want to take time off in the middle of a cycle. anyone have any suggestions?

Get it checked out to make sure you have not damaged the rotator cuff.

Question? Have you been doing your bench presses with a very wide grip?

Are you positive it is tendonitis? If so you have to eliminate all the lifts that cause pain, and it will slowly go away on its own. It will only get worse if you try to lift through the pain. I had a bad bout with tendonitis my first few cycles. I do not think it is entirely uncommon with anabolic users as your muscles growth will quickly out run your ligaments and tendons. If your using winny that may cause it more agitation. Instead of killing the pain, change your lifting habits which will solve the problem rather than the band-aid approach of painkillers or deca (which will probably help you in the short run).

Deca will not help tendinitus. And if it is it may not go away either. I had to have surgery to get rid of it in my right elbow.

Chesty is correct, I don't associate tendonitus with shoulder pain but rather in the arms, deca will not help tendonitus (if that is what you have) a pain in the shoulder doesnt automatically mean tendonitus.

I bench with a med grip, the pain kicks in when i am at the top of the lift. i have tried to eliminate all the pain causing lifts and dropped down to lighter weights and more reps, just sucks when my right side feels like it can do 400 and my left is struggling with 315. any otc shit or gnc supps that will help?

By medium grip I assume you mean shoulder width? When I bench, I place my hands so that when the bar is on my chest my forearms are vertical. Any wider than that (especially with heavy weights) overloads the shoulders and will cause untold amounts of pain.

Same thing with over head presses using a bar.

Try using only dumbells. Use 800mg ibuprofen before lifting, and apply ice/heat in 20 minute intervals before and after working out.

If that does not help, go to an orthopedic doctor. It could be bursitis (inflamation of the bursus within the shoulder) very common. A shot may cure it up, but it is a recurring thing and usually means there is not enough room in your shoulder and surgery would have to be done. But I don't think you are any where near that stage.

get some motrin (ibuprofen) and take 800mg 3 times a day. Also, you have to eliminate what is causing the pain. Apply a heating pad 3 x's a day for 20 mins. and do some gentle stretching afterwards.

IF it is tendonitis, this will help.

One rule is--if it hurts don't do it.....all the years i've been training i started having a small annoying pain in a small spot in my shoulder--well!! it finally broke all the hell loose now its been over 12 weeks and i still can't lift until this bitch heals----Listen to your body!!!!! RADAR

You might want to really warm up before and ice after (20min on 1hr off), If you can, find out which rotator muscle (ie. S.I.T.S), most likely supraspanatus, that will help you avoid or treat the muscle/tendon.

just my two cents, for whats worth..
