Okay, I skimmed over the posts here. I'd have to agree with Hulkster 100% here.

If you all were that close to engagement, your nasty message would've cause a fight (and you were dumb to do that) but calling everything off just for that doesn't make sense.

She is using that to reverse blame and an easy way out.

Now with you proposing to her, DO NOT DO IT! This isn't something I'm proud of, but me & my ex were close to getting engaged when a major fight/split-up occured. I finally got her to meet me and gave her the ring I've been wanting to give.

Long story short, the next 6 months (while engaged) were the worst of the relationship. She seemed to want out in a way (later found out another guy involved), and I was miserable trying to change the relationship for the better. Trust me, it just ain't worth it.

Drop the bitch, she doesnt want you, make it easy for her and just split, be strong.. If you must drink heavy for a few weeks, spank the monkey a lot, have a one night stand, then try to meet another nice girl.
