Help me get my feet on the ground

Yes... it sounds to me like you're at an artificially low bodyweight due to low eating. You can probably add 15 pounds of muscle in a few months relatively quickly as your body gets back to where it "wants" to be. After that, though, it will be more difficult to add muscle.

A good goal to shoot for by summer would be 150 lbs and 12% bodyfat.

That has you gaining 18 pounds of muscle and 7 pounds of fat, which is a pretty good ratio.

Just remember, if you bulk you'll get fatter. It's pretty universal.

Well, true pot can help support laziness, but it does increase appetite. When you guys say eat every three hrs, since I never done that,I find it hard to do.Could you give me an example of a days food the way you eat it? What about steak? And the biggie for me is---------whenever I eat any meaT(other than sandwhich) I always devour it in ketchup. Is ketchup with all my meat something I shouldnt worry about,or a habit that needs to be dropped?(I know this goes in diet section, please ignore this as of the moment though)Thanks

Sorry for continuos posts,I just forget what I wanna say.To debaser, thanks for the link,it helps.I dont know quite what some of those exercises mean(I know the basics like squat, deadlift etc...) I kind of gave them my own name when I learned them.

Do you have any advice for someone who has just 2 small dumbells(adjustable-near 120lb set total) and a bowflex?
I prefer freeweights myself, but its limited with what I got.I know theres a lot of good self body weight exercsies I can do too.Feel free to email me or PM me if you can,I would like to work out a training routine if you could help me on that.

If you want to put on mass...i am sure i have echoed someone elses sentiments...u need a gym...especially seeing as your an athlete...i am doubting that Bowflex will work your stabilizers very much if at all. Stick to major compund exercises aka multi joint exercises and prepare to eat your face off.

If you have the money for weed and KFC, i would ditch them and get a gym membership. It's gonna take a lot of dedication heart and desire...u have to ask yourself if it is worth it. Nothing i can say will get you motivated long term more then yourself. Make sure u have a portion of protien in every meal and i think if u eat often you should have your bases covered.

If your scared to go to the gym, aka intimidated by the bigger guys...well u gotta just say fuck it and do it. I really think u need a gym membership to do what you would like...or get anywhere close to your goals...get a trainer to show you squats, deadlifts, etc etc...get a program and bust your ass. THis isn't an overnight process so be patient as well.

don't be intimidated by bigger guys. hell, i remember when i began i was in sixth grade and could barely bench press 75 pounds. just because you are small right now doesn't mean you have anything to be ashamed of. everyone has to start somewhere. and any 'big guy' who sees you working your ass of has to give you some respect. just find a trainer to teach you the basics of everything and proper form. from there you can do everything on your own and eat like a horse. with some patience, in a year or two you will start looking like GOOD.

I know other people have probably said this but...

You just need to eat, rest, train. Any routine will work for you. I'd say try something that has you lifting for each bodypart 2x a week.

Marajuana is a drug.

Eating every 3 hours is easy once you get used to it. If you eat more often, your metabolism will increase and you will start digesting and absorbing everything you throw at your body relatively quick.

Don't do cardio if you want to bulk. Try to sit around as much as you can. Walk sometimes to keep the heart healthy though.

You'll get fat - deal with it. Just know you're packing on tons of size under that gut, and when the time comes, you'll shed it like skin and be huge.

Your goals are attainable, just not in the time frame you desire. It will take longer than that. My best advice to you - don't stress over that. Just lift and don't pay attention to all the small details. Gains will come, but in time. Your body is like a work of art, and you can make it a masterpiece, but no sculpture or painting was made in a day. Give your body the time it needs to grow, the proper training it needs to stimulate that growth, and the proper nutrition required for it to keep those gains coming.

Hey.First I am 16yrs old.Male.5'11.Weigh 127.4 lbs,8.2 percent bodyfat as of 5 minutes ago. I have absolutely no experience lifting whatsoever.I am very weak and my self confidence/overall morale is not quite what I would like it to be.I am the guy who was a somebody in Jr.High football(I was the guy who just ran and ran and ran without an ounce of strength and hoped to outrun the big guys) I have never lifted before(continously that is) and I have always ate when I was hungry, whatever I could find.Never dieted, never supplemented, just eat whats there.I never gained hardly any weight(my blessing and my curse)

Now I gotta get my act together with a simple kick --- diet and some excruciating training.I need help with that,I read the posts here, but its a little outta my league, need something thats a level lower) However Mr.X's peanut butter plan seemed simple, but I dont think my stomach could take that for a long time.

Just try and eat good basic clean foods. Fish-Chicken-Lean Beef-Tuna although that is a fish I like to add it seperate. If you have to eat starchy foods try as much whole grain as you can.

Not much to say,I need help making a workout schedule and dieting info and stuff like should I do cardio after lifting, when to consume protein, and finding a good multivitamin.A lot of my friends use creatine, but there seems to be a lot of brands of it so I am perplexed.

I dont drink,dont do drugs,(however I do get high on special occasions,but pots an herb,not a drug)

And my goals are probally insane, but are they conceivable? Wanna be strong, not huge, looks dont matter, just sheer power, around 160-170,6-7 percent bfat by mid summer. Is this reasonable?.The only exercise stuff I have access to are freeweights(no benches or stuff) and a bowflex powerpro+leg ext. I plan on using free weights for arms, and bflex for chest, back, and such so I dont have to have a spotter.Im wanting to do a 3 day on 1 day off split of exercises(ie chest+shoulders day 1,etc..) but I cant figure out a good split.

Also how the hell do you drink 1 gallon of water and consume 300gs of protein??I wanna know the trick

You do not need 300grams of protien for your size try to get 120-140 and you should be fine.

Dont worry about Anabolics,I am not that dumb, something like that would kick my ass at the moment

grahf2, if you want to get big you have to eat some things that might not taste like a Taco Bell Gordita with some nachos on the side. You'll have to sacrifice that. There are some companies such as Cytosport which make good tasting protein, actually very good tasting. If you don't mind much about chicken and seasonings, just buy some boneless 97% fat free chicken breasts at your local costco or something, throw'em in a pan with some water in it. you got yourself 42g of protein and 190 calories. buy some vegetables and you can make a salad out of it.

but plz don't make it sound like it's the end of the world. if you truly want to grow, become powerful and such, take this in mind: You eat to live, not live eat. if you live to eat, that's just sad. You're young and your stomach won't fall apart. 10 years from now it will start to though.

First don't worry about BF%. You could get to 160 or so pretty easy if you eat right and train right. Are you gay? Want to look like a 12 year boy? What's your point of the low BF%? I would set my max BF% to about 14% if I was you. Get a book on what's in the food your eating and figure out how to get enough protein without getting to many carbs. Fats I don't personally worry about, to a reasonable degree. In your case I think the bow flex would work for a while to increase mass but going to the Y or boys club would be a good low cost alternative. Your school probably has some resources too. Good luck, you need to ask some questions and brake them down into smaller parts then work on each one.
