Hello new to the Omega project

My name is Dave aka SirDingo, name comes from my wild American Dingo dog, and have had the nickname since I adopted my doggy.

Anyways I am really looking forward to learning the right way, the smart way, which is the Omega way :). I just signed up Thursday 12/13/07

I am 34yrs old. 5'10" currently around 175lbs or so. I am mainly looking to get a body sort of like Devin Hester style, same height, but weighing approx 185-190lbs, and I don't want to be more than 190lbs.

I did gain 10lbs over the Summer doing a modified 5x5 I made up, but have not seen any gains much since then. I think my routine/program is all wrong, and that is why I am looking forward to Omega helping me.

So what do I have coming my way, and what to expect from this program ??
 
Thanks for the reply :) I take it you will eventually make a routine/program for me to do ? That fits the goals I want to gain, etc...

So tomorrow morning is my usual PULL day, which had me doing this;

- Barbell bent-row 5x5
- Weighted chinups 5x5
- Upright dumbbell-row 3x10
- Dumbbell bent-row 3x10
- Deadlift 5x5





EDIT; Read more of the sticky's, looks like my old PULL day should be your Day2 routine ?? ANd blow up my old routine and throw out

- Machine Pull Down to the front ( can I do chinups or pullups instead ? )
- 1 Arm Dumbell Rows or Hammer Strength 1 arm rows
- Dumbell Shrugs
- Dumbell standing side laterals.
- Cambered Barbell Curls

So completely change away from my 5x5 thinking, but still do all these exercises in a 5 set routine, but very high reps compared to what I am used to ?? 1x25, 1x15, 1x10, 1x7, and final set to failure in perfect form ?? How many reps should that be to failure ??

All have to do the intro 4-6 week routine. So all will have the same pattern at First in Level 1

My only problem is working out in my home built Basement gym, don't have machines, just nice weight bench, with barbell, and just 200lbs of plates... 7 sets of dumbbells from 25lbs to 50lbs...and a smaller curling barbell...And lastly a bar between doorway for chinups

Welcome Bro. Omega is the man and if you follow his advice, YOU WILL GET RESULTS. Be patient and enjoy the transformation.

Thanks I am very excited to get the Omega knowledge I need to get built faster and smarter.

I am thinking to invest in a nicer weight machine for home, something that can allow me all the free weights can, plus the Smith machine exercises ? Any brand recommendation? Powertec ?

I just tried a modified Day2, and man doing those really high reps was killer, I am so used to very low heavy reps. I could not even come close to 25reps the first set more like 2x15, 1x10, 1x7, and 1xFailure

And man I feel wimpy with my smaller weights now, I have to totally forget the heavy lbs, with these higher reps need to go much lighter, but man I feel it right now afterwards more than ever, in a good way :chomp:

So even for Press days do a 25reps first set ?? So Bench Press 1x25 the first set = :p I will die after that, and I can't wait tor try. :chomp:

Hos workouts look easy or simple on the surface but wait until you do the very first set. if you do it right at the right speed and how he wants it you will be hurting.
