I'm kinda odd...

I just started squatting and deadlifting recently, so my bench is better than both. But...I shrug more than I bench. Am I strange? :)
 
If you are lifting without knee wraps and squat suits, and hitting parallel or lower, I think most people would dead more than they squat.

i squat more than i dead. bench is pathetic....heheh for me at least.

i may be different though now. i havent d.l ed in a while, but my squat was heavier before i stopped. damn grip gets me everytime

my legs are big enough as they fucking are. i have 17" calves.. thats big enough
Sucks that i was fat my whole life, can't do much about it cept diet and run.
 
Dead, Squat, bench.

guys chill out on Wizkid, he's only like 16 he'll learn in time. Or he'll just look really stupid as he gets older and more developed. I have faith in him though.
 
My calves are about 16.5, I hate them. I can do calf raises till eternity and you won't be able to see it unless I flex them really hard. I think calves are all in genetics.
 
Bignate, why don't you use straps? I don't have a problem w/ my grip until I get heavy (heavy for me anyway) but as soon as the grip starts to go, the straps come out.

And therefore I don't squat or deadlift, and I'm excused from both. And anyone who says differently is a moron.

But seriously, I wish I could do those two exercises.... while I don't care if my legs get any bigger, I'm convinced now that those two exercises stimulate growth in other parts of the body so I'm disappointed that I can't do them.

squat deadlift bench..but added deadlifts about 3 weeks ago and getting very close to squatting weight...should pass it within a month.
 
If I have a pump then mine is dead, squat, bench but if I am working out by myself then its bench, squat, dead. For some reason I can bench more when I am alone but squat more when I am around people :confused:

Deadlift, Bench Press, Squats.

Strange, but correct. I'm completely hopeless with squats.

And regarding doing deadlifts with a bad back: Maybe you should try doing it sumo style as that puts almost all of the weight on the legs, the back being vertical all the time. And you could start doing it with only the bar, to be sure not to do any harm to an already weak back.

If that works, it's a good way to make your back stronger and then you can always add weight later when you feel ready for it.
