Had my teeth taken out

and oh god did that shit hurt!
I only had 2 teeth ripped out.But they sewed up my gums and oh god is it uncomfortable. I had my molar and my wizdom on the bottom removed...It does not hurt but it is swollen and funny feeling. Every now and again my jaw bone hurts a little..but it is not as bad as I thought it would be. They put me out to do it which was an odd experience...
Of course it hurts like a bitch when I open my mouth wide becasue of where my wizdom tooth was. And I cannot smoke or eat! Living off of pudding for now. I go back on the 14th to get the stitches out of them, dont know why they did not use the kind that disolve.
But shit, I am bleeding like crazy. Woke up this am with blood caked every where! thank god I can start salt water gargeling today!

Figure I will take it easy today and just relax while needto is here with the kids.
But fuck what I would not give for a fat steak and a cigarette!

outside of a few fillings and braces.

I hope your ass wasn't sore when you woke up from Anesthesia.
If it was, ask the dentist for copies of the pictures at least. :)
 
It sucks. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed about 9 years ago, when two of them became impacted.
 
angel- feel better! i know you have kids, but try to get some rest.
if the bleeding doesn't stop, suck on a teabag. seriously- the tanins in the tea help stop the bleeding.

lol, no there was like 4 people in the room I guess for medical reasons...Whatever! Yeah they woke me up from the local by tapping my forehead and saying "get up now".. I woke up and was like "wtf, bitch stop tapping my head". All they gave me for local was valium through the I.V. well gave me a perc too.




And yes, my wizdom teeth are impacted also. So bad to the point that my molars have to go now too. It sucks. All 4 of em! The dentist said that on my upper teeth he may be able to save the wizdom teeth by only taking out the molars..my teeth were so impacted that I have yet to get my wizdom teeth! :rolleyes:
Runs in the family. I remember my oldest bro going through this shit also!

Screw that. When I had the abcess my mom told me to hold the tea bag down on the absessed area. Well I did and guess what, the fucker swelled more! lol...I am scared of tea bags.
It does not seem to be bleeding at the moment, but damn what a mess I had this morning. I have not even checked needto to see if he is all bloody either. Good thing my kids did not wake up before me, lol. I woulda scared em.
I intend on laying on the couch and reading a book all day long. Nothing more. Well maybe I will make some more pudding.

no not cavaties per se. The impacted teeth cause my molars to become weakened and they were breaking apart from being smooshed
 
i had all 4 removed back in august, and i had to walk back to post from the military hopsital, because i could not reach any cadre.

i shit you not, it was 104 degrees out and it was a 2 mile walk just coming out of surgery. i didn't even get quarters. i had the rest of the day off, and then it was back to training.

that shit fucking sucked...especially since percocet makes me want to throw up each and every time i take it. i just drank water and drizzled blood out of my mouth.

that sucks
had my tonsils removed last year during thanksgiving break and that was a hassle, but the doc perscribed liquid tylenol/hydrocodone. SO i was out most of the week.
Hope you have a good blender.

having teeth extracted really is not fun. last time I had a tooth extracted, it was done by EF member/Dentist extraordinaire, Fragadelic, I was completely awake - he gae me novacaine and some nitrous which made me feel drunk. He pulled and pulled and cracked that tooth apart and yanked and I could hear the crunching as it was coming out, yay!

then i drove myself home. he gave me a script for vicodin that I never used too.

Smoking only exacerbates your dental problems, Angel. One of the many dangers of smoking. Take it from me, I smoked for 19 yrs.
 
also regarding the bleeding - you should be chomping down on lots of gauze and applying pressure that way to try to stop the bleeding - but you know this, youre a nurse or something.
 
did they give you some good pain killers like Vicodin?
 
I hated that metallic taste from the blood when I got my wisdom teeth removed. The gauze kept me from sleeping with my mouth closed, and I drooled bloody spit all over my pillow and bed. You'll get better soon, but it's definitely no fun going through it.

Quit smoking, asshead. You got kids to be healthy for, for chrissake.

also, if they used the kind that dissolve, they would probably dissolve, given that there is water in your mouth

No I cannot give him oral...I have already said that on this thread!

Any ways, I did not bleed as much last night, I was smart enough to sleep with a towel across my pillow! :rolleyes: I woke up this morning it and feels some what numb, is it suposed to? Maybe that is part of the healing process or some thing? It is not really hurtful, just odd and uncomfortable feeling.....

yah..Still No infection at all! I guess I am lucky seeings how I did not follow his orders. Although I made sure I took my antibiotics constantly, lol.
I go back later this afternoon to get the stitches removed..I hope it does not hurt, the area is still tender..
I managed to eat some orzo and steak the other night and soft tacos last night..Only took me about 1 hour to eat, but damn I ate real food!!!
I have to set up my appointment today to get another set taken out..Why even have wisdom teeth of 95% of people need to get them pulled?! I kind of in a way dont want to go through this again, too much aggrivation not to mention pain...Hopefully he will tell me it is healing great when I go today..I have kept it clean by using a q-tip on it..Kinda sucks because it is a huge whole (ok maybe not huge) but all the foods keep getting in the whole and settling there, so i need to keep mouth washing and q tipping the friggin thing...Will it ever become a flat surface again?

Odds are slim to none bro. Female virgins in their 20's are not that common, and with todays active lifestyles and sports, many already popped thier cherries during sporting activities in high school or at some other time. So you are probably safe on that one.

good. one of the most ridiculous things ive heard from a christian circle was that it was important for the man to pop her cherry during the first time of intercourse, because it was symbolic, and was a blood covenant between the two. yuck!

i feel bad for any guy who had to pop a cherry, even if the chick was 16 and they were just fooling around. i mean that has to suck to deal with that bloody mess, and just hope she doesnt have any diseases.

by christian circle, i didnt mean my church. i believe i heard that crap from a christian forum on the internet or something
 
Ok so I went today..Getting them out took about 2.5 minutes and it did not hurt.. Yes, I am a big baby..
So the doc told me that it should be healed more than what it is right now for 7 days later....So he asked me how my recovery went and i told him that it was limited pain but a shit load of blood the first 2 nights. he asked if i was biting down on the gauze and I said yes, when I was awake. However the night that I had it done was terrible, I woke up the following morning matted with blood, my face, pillow, and hair...He said that it is not normal..So now he will not pull my other teeth until I go to my reg doctor and get blood work done. Because i am severely anemic he wants to get a blood count and to see what my "blood clot timing" is..And also see if my anemia is too out of control at this point...Well thank god I atleast got my problematic teeth removed before we figured all this shit out..So needless to say I wont be going back until February at the earliest!
 
I had all my wisdom teeth removed at once after the bottom ones impacted through and I couldn't clos my mouth without pain and discomfort. One of the teeth looked mutated anf huge. The doc let me keep the teeth as a reminder of the agony.

My wisdom teeth are impacted as well. They are barely even out because of the lack of room.1 of them still has not even broke through the gums yet.
I dont think I will save any of mine!
