Damn, ya'll are lucky. There are no 24 hour gyms. And the Y's back home are pretty nice. They have indoor and outdoor pools, raquetball, indoor bball courts, a skateboard park for kids. There weight rooms are not all that, I am a free wieght junkie. I think I will go with the gold's. Shit renewal at Gold's in Vegas was only 99 a year.

I payed $150 down and $19 a month with no contract for Powerhouse gym where I live....never again will I join bitch ass Bally's.....

Work out at home.Got a power rack,dumbells,etc....

Most gyms in my area are 25-30 dollars with no contract.

FarBeyondDriven you need to shop around for a non-chain gym. Try a place that has the option to pay one yearly price around $300.

Btw where are you now? I thought you'd gone to Baltimore.

hey Wynn, yeah right outside Balt. The only reason I was looking into a chain gym is because I travel sometimes, and the hotels I have been have a nautilus rack if anything.

I have rode my travel pass as long as I can for Gold's here. I have thought about a couple of the mom/pop gym's, probably find better clientele and larger wieght selection.

Bally's has terrible reviews on consumer reports. And their freaking dumbbells only go to 85. I need to search harder and find one of those caves that the person on the front desk hits you with a cattle implant gun evertime you walk in.
