Got a letter, need help asap.

ok i ordered some stealth gear. the kind that comes in the sachets. i sent it to a friends house under a fake name. he finally got a seizure letter from us customs the other day. now i know how it usually goes, you get a letter they tell you not to do it again and that address is finished. by the way this is not the first time weve sent a package to his house. this is however the first letter. here is where my concern lies, i havent seen the letter myself yet but he said that it said something about A.S. seizure and he said either on the outside or on the inside that there was a fee of $300.00 or something along those lines. what should we do? trash the letter and forget it? we havent opened it yet so should we just put return to sender? again, we didnt use a real name so really, if they ask we really dont know the person and it could just be a wrong address?

also, what im wondering is this stealth stuff is literally impossible to tell what it is unless its been tested. they must really be cracking down.

thanks for the help guys.

Well these two parts of your story do not make any sense to me. I would think that if it was the standard siezure letter you would just trash it and forget about it. What's this deal about 300$ though? You state that the letter has not been opened yet you also state that your "friend" noticed a $300 fine? That sound's like alot of BS to me but whatever maybe somebody else knows.

thats what im saying. it doesnt sound like a typical letter because he said there is something about a fine. it may have been printed on the outside of the letter im not sure. he said he held the letter up to the light and read some info but it sounded like the fine info was printed on the outside. hopefully its like needtogetas said, its just a bs attempt to try to get us to own up to ordering.

he held it up to the light and read through the envelope. he was kind of freaking out so it may have been printed on the outside of the envelope that there was a fine. i agree with needtogetas, i think the fine might be a trick to get us to own up to ordering it.

Well that go's without saying I mean come on you think some douche is going to shell out $300 for something he didn't do? It's a dead giveaway if you pay the fine.

lol it u pay a fine your retarded....open up the letter read it and just toss it thats all no one is going to come and arrest you...if they were gonna do that u would of been arrested already and prolly wouldnt even have gotten a letter

do you guys really think theyll check the house? his house is already clean, just wanting to know the odds that theyll stop by. we really didnt send alot of stuff there.

federally no........but locals may follow up on it if they're bored and don't have any "pressing" murders to solve....

i think the $300 fine is the return addy. where its fed govt and yada yada is $300 fine if opened not intended for the person....sect/law 3.2blowme.....

if it wasnt a big order, no need to scan it and secure email it. that address is trash for 1 year. like said before, if they were coming, they would have brought the letter with them. lol. the fine is for opening the letter if it is not intended for you.

they don't usually come after the small guy. i hate the word usually. truth is, if you are the unlucky minnow, they might want you for bait. but with who you ordered from, no worries of that. chill bro. all is good.

thanks guys, i feel better now. the first letter is always scary. im not even going to open it, just trash that shit. like nelson said, what letter? and yea, forget a year im taking it as that address is burned for good. i figured if were in trouble they would have came already so im good. thanks again guys.

HAAHAAA his friend is keeping the gear for himself. That is why he hasn't seen the letter yet. And his friend wants $300 to buy some ancilleries so he don't get no sides from using that much gear all at once.

that's what I was thinking. I would like to see the letter your buddy made up.. he probably doesn't want you to use his address ever again.. :worried:

I call bullshit on this thread, bigtime if you're talking about advanced stealth.

a seizure letter I might understand but the $300 fine too is pushing this a little too far.I've never once heard of a advanced stealth satchet being confiscated by customs even in australia where their customs are hardcore or the US for that matter.can it happen?yeah quite possibly, but this story sounds like bullshit.especially with the supposed fine

hell I've gotten letters years ago from customs about gear confiscated.needless to say there wasn't a fine included

sounds like your 'friend' is bullshitting the hell out of you bro

um... it was a fake name correct??

Return to sender..addressee unknown..

You can't return to sender (usually) on Customs letters. They are sent certified mail, so some dumbass at the address signed for the letter. You should have said, sorry, no one by that name lives here. Then cleaned house and FIND A DOMESTIC SOURCE!

I am pretty sure that $300 fine is on the outside for opening federal addressed mail if you are not the intended person to open it. Guess those sackets aren't custom proof no more.

Well i got a look at the letter. yea, thats what it was, the fine for opening it. its just a regular seizure letter so i just trashed.

it was also not certified mail.

for those calling BS -
i do not want to name the source for security reason, however i dont blame the source at all. its my fault for sending way too much international shit too one address. feds probably just got curious. i just cant believe they actually took the time to test the sachets. oh well.

The problem is now they know to look for the fucking sachets and we are all boned!!!! What state were things going to?

I look at this post and smile,at first when I saw this it freaked me out

but since I got my order,I'm indifferent to the paranoia

I'm pretty fuckin sure that customs knows about satchets.

It doesn't take a genius to peruse these boards and learn alot.

My guess is that satchets just drastically decrease getting snagged because they are exactly that, satchets and not vials or amps etc.

Come on...

I'm sure customs knows about them too,but when you take into account the thousands upon thousands of pieces of mail that they have to deal with on a daily basis it would literally be a fucking bitch to have to stop and actually test them to see if they actually contained gear....think of all the shit that they would have to test and it not actually be gear and the thousands of dollars lost in that empty effort.

paranoia about customs comfiscating satchet packets was way overblown.

I've gotten a 2nd letter before (multiple seizures), and it still didn't come with a fine. To enforce a fine they'd have to know that the SAME PERSON ordered twice, not the same house. Tickets don't go by houses in this country, they go by person. A court can't charge a house with a crime.

Toss it.

Hey yall if you get a letter just reply saying it was an "undocumented transaction" and that you are an "undocumented immigrant" from mejico. They will forget about it and you'll get a nice bonus from El Presidente Jorge Bush.

So when someone gets a seizure letter like this does that mean that only the address is flagged? So if that person moves then they are fine?

Wouldn't they have the name in a database? Could that person's domestic mail begin to get checked?

That was my thought.

What I find interesting is how Advanced Stealth hasn't posted yet since this matter concerns A.S. I think he's the one you should be contacting about this matter.
