I have a good spot to put it just don't know what the odds are on getting searched. Anyone who has any experience in this area, please respond. Its getting down to crunch time and I need to get a game plan.
Going to mexico, Should I drive across or walk?

If you drive, you'd at least be able to either get more stuff across or have a larger and more complex area for them to search. It's like trying to find someone lost in a closet ( walking), or someone lost in the forest (car). Little hidden places on cars can carry a lot of juice. You could get a windsheild wiper fluid container from a car in a junk yard, paint the inside blue, then when you get down there, put some ice packs and juice in it. Or you could have a cooler in the back with some peanut butter, jelly, and bread, and stuf some amps in the peanut butter. I guess you'd be a peanut butter packer then. Ha Ha. Just be sure to put it in something that can't be squeezed or seen through. Good luck.

Well here is a way to look at it. If it's stashed in your car....it may be considered trafficing........long sentence...hope you have time. If walking.....it can only be considered personal.....take your shit away.....your out several hundred bucks. Plus they'll try to scare the shit out of you....since they'll be in power at the time....it'll work lol.
Next issue......if you get in a wreck down there.....it may not even be an accident....a local may set you up......if you don't have INTERNATIONAL car insurance......goodbye... there is no justice there.

From my own experience, drive and go south some, not right at border town. It will be cheaper there. Take a girl, put it in here luggage. You stayed for one night , hint hint, and claim something small and cheap.

If you are goin to TJ, there a couple of nice golf courses just south of the city. Throw some golf clubs in plain view (backseat, not trunk) and wear golf shits. Tell them you came down to play the course and get some lunch and now are headed back.
Oh yeah, have a margarita before you cross to take away some of the nerves.

Either way- walking or driving- it's considering trafficking when you cross the border with it. Only question is what you have, how much you have, and whether the agents got laid the night before you get caught is what will determine what will happen to you
I'm not going into smuggling tech since of course I'd get flamed for revealing "trade secrets", even though every possible conceivable, and even inconceivable way of walking gear across has been seen or contemplated by customs. Just have a plan and stick to it, don't go across and say "um, I guess I can go to that farmacia over there and uh, excuse me sir, can you drive me around to some vets please?" Also take care of business first- get your essentials(gear) before going off and partying. There are some assholes down there who'll sell you anything- counterfeits, fakes whatever and try to jack up the price on everything so keep a clear head. And like wildcat said have a drink or three before you cross back. Usually since valium and Tylex(Tylenol 3) is so cheap and easy to get down there I buy some and take a few before crossing. Go to the US customs website there is alot of useful info there. Thinking about it crossing back is the easy part(although it can still pucker you up), harder is staying out of trouble while down there
