I might be starting some threads for help on the rebuild if ya'll don't mind. There is a wealth of information from some very smart people here and I do refer to ya'll and think of you as my cyber friends.

Whatever you do..

Make sure it's signed off and in accordance with your insurance company's procedures. Last thing you want to do, is not cross your T's and dot your I's, and have them start rejecting your claims left, right and center. You know how bureacracy works.

As for safety -- unless it was a random act -- which 9/10 it isn't -- I'd start doing your own internal investigation and figure who and why, someone wants you and your family dead. Look hard -- this is a serious matter.

Don't place too much faith in the local cops. More of then than not -- they have their hands full with prior cases and can't spend more than 3 hours on your case.
