assumed, albeit incorrectly, that this was a "come on" and, thus, that I have no standards. In fact, it was really more like your mom telling you that you're "the best looking boy in school" (say this with a mid-western accent). Neither your mom, nor myself actually "meant" that. We were just being nice and trying to make you feel better.
I can understand your confusion. As a retail broker, you lack the intelligence, credentials, and general sense to work with a more sophisticated institutional clientele. Thus, it doesn't surprise me in the least that the subtleties and nuance of language sometimes escape your attention. I'll be sure to explain my meaning more carefully in future correspondence.
