Free online personal training with me for 3 lucky members....

As some of you know i recently started work as a PT. Since i am new to the training people and don't really have a portfolio other then myself, i would like to put one together. I am willing to train 3 people off the board for free but there are some requirements.

1. You must take before and after pictures
2. You must already be a plat. member for 1 month on the board
3. You gotta stick to the diet and training becuase after all, my advice can only go so far you need to do put in the work.

If you are interested, PM me with the following:

1. Stats (age, height, weight, bf, build, previous training exp., etc.)
2. Diet
3. Supplements
3. Your goals.
4. Pictures would be nice as well, but i can still make my selection without them. Just keep in mind you will have to take before pictures and after pictures.

The more info you give me the better. Any questions feel free to post up.
 
do you have a gym yet/? what cert did you take??

I just found out today i passed my NFPT cert.... and thus the craziness begins..

Only a few athletes will be available to me.. but as many old and out of shape people that i want to work with are available to me..
 
Yes already working at a gym, i have some clients tomorrow. Also took NFPT.

Good luck Big BK....I myself would love to get into personal training....only bad thing is, where I live, I couldn't make a living.....physical fitness isn't much of a priority around here

I would sign up for this for sure but:
1. My plat runs out in a few days
2. KoRiN is my bitch and solves all my training problems for me, lol :p
3. I wouldnt be able to stick to the diet you gave me cause I cant choose all of my meals
4. The weight I gain wouldnt really be an accurate measurement cause of my age & Ill be growing in height too so I doubt you would really want to train me lol

Keep us updated on who the 3 are and how they are progressing.

Good idea to use the message board to get clients for your portfolio. thinking out side the box ;)
 
Yeah it is pretty intimidating to walk to up people in the gym you don't know and try and sell yourself but i already have a good group of guys on here who i feel more comfortable to approach and people have seen some of my knowledge so should be easier to start off. :)
 
This is a damn good deal. If i was a noob i'd be jumping all over this shit. So many guys let their egos get the better of them and refuse to use a coach. Everyone should have a coach of some kind IMO. Having someone qualified giving you perspective on your fitness is invaluable. Even top contest prep coaches will hire someone else to help with their own prep if they compete.

BK... are u integrating the Polar heart monitor into your clients workouts??

Nope. IMO most of the stuff on that NFPT test was shit. From what i have seen in real life so far most of personal training consists of just showing people how to do very very basic exercises you and i take for granted. I don't think i will get many clients who are looking to excel in sports.
 
BK, if you target your marketing towards athletes or those looking in improve in sports, then those will be the type of clients that will seek you out.

If your marketing looks directed to the big market, the middle aged men and women, then that's what you will get. Make sense?
 
I know what your saying, it is just the demographic out here and the gym i work at does not cater towards sports, powerlifting, etc.
 
I'll give it a try. I'm on about week 4 on a 5x5 program but would lose sleep is I switched. I'll pm you my stats.
 
hey.... i just signed a 24yr old female that is training for her 3rd triathlon... so the managers at my gym are giving me more sport and athletic clients with me being the oldest trainer.. and the younger guys and female trainers are getting the middle age people..

interesting turn of events..

your gym is going to fire you as soon as your clients start bending up all the barbells lol

Hey BK. Without going too much in details could you please tell me what kind of diet do you make your trainees follow if their goal is to gain mass. Are you doing the 1.5x bodyweight for proteins? or more of a percentage of fats, carbs and proteins?

It really depends on their bodytype. In reality you have people that can sit around all day and gain weight or people that can sit around all day and lose weight. For the ladder i have a high everything diet with protein as less of a focus and calories more of a focus and for people that tend to gain weight easier it is much much more clean, maybe 1 cheat day every week.
