For those of you who are cutting and hate dieting..READ THIS

i like the diet.......i use something like it right now as well.........too cold to be outside on the grill.....so i've been using PAM in a pan on the stove..........hey .a guy can only take so much chicken, turkey and tuna....and steak is really expensive...the burgers have been working for me

Not to knock the diet, but it's essentially what many have already been preaching. Don't do some damn cookie cutter chicken and broccoli diet. Who cares if you get xxx amount of fat loss per week if it's so strict that you feel miserable and end up cheating. I'd rather follow a diet that I can halfway enjoy and still get results. The cheesburger idea is just one way of achieving this. Personally I'd rather take 14 weeks to lose 10 pounds of fat and enjoy those weeks than take 12 weeks to lose 10 pounds of fat but dread every second of that time. The difference in weight loss using different forms of carbs is not as night and day as many thing.

Personally I gave up on the chicken + veggie + low insulin carb meals and started coming up with better recipes. Once in awhile I will have a simple meal like this because it's easy to prepare but most of the time I try something different. Some days I have chicken fried brown rice for example. Take some brown or whole grain rice, boil it, throw in some grilled chicken/scrambled eggs or egg beaters/green onions. Fry it in a pan with some pam and toss in a tad of low sodium soy sauce and enjoy. It's not as tasty as "real" fried rice, but when dieting it takes pretty damn good and makes you feel like you are cheating. Would work this streak or shrimp as well.

Also I have pita chip nachos. Take a whole wheat pita, rip it into 2 halves then use cooking scissors to cut into large triangles. Throw it into the broiler or toaster oven till they get crisp. Top with some whole navy or pinto beans(smash if you want a refried consistancy), grilled chicken or steak, nonfat cheese and a scoop of nonfat sour cream and some salsa. Mmmm!

You can also make healthy chili, pasta, pancakes and other dishes with a little creativity. Just think outside the box a little bit. The most important part of a diet is the calories, get them in order and you'll find that the exact type of carbs aren't as important as you think. I've tried the extreme low carb diets without any kind of starch. I was miserable, always hungry and noticed no increase in rate of fat loss. Went back to the eating this way and my fat loss stayed the same but I personally was much happier.

My usuall diet consists of 250-300g protein, <150g carbs and around 80g of fat per day. Just tailor your recipes to meet your macronutrient breakdown and go for it. My chicken fried rice tends to have more chicken than rice, but hey I don't mind.

I've had the cheeseburger type meals as well, though I'm not that big on hamburger meat. I'm a steak man and that fills my red meat needs. When I ate cheeseburgers I used whole wheat hamburger buns that I found at a local health store instead of regular wheat bread and they were pretty damn good.

I am a college student and live in the dorms so I cannot cook hamburgers. Would the McDonald's Double Cheeseburger for $.99 be a Proper Substitute for a meal?

Um.. did you even read the original post? The person advocates using extra lean ground beef, whole wheat bread and fat free cheese. Last I checked McDonald's uses the lowest quality hamburger meat they can find, crappy white buns and regular full fat cheese. You do the math.

This is a great idea....a couple of questions..I hate wheat bread can i use sourdough? Also can I use premium ground turkey meat? Its lower in fat, same amount of protein, and lower in price. What do u think?

I guess it wouldnt be a bad idea to alternate meats either just for variety. Using 93% lean ground turkey would not throw off the calorie equations at all because it is pretty much equal to beef. The good part is ground turkey is on sale all the time here where im from(USA). Whatever is cheapest I buy. Ususally if the beef is on sale I will go with that but I do not hesitate to buy the turkey if cheap. It also digests better and is excellent for hamburgers

I am not trying to be an asshole but I think it is a shitty idea. I hate dieting as much as anybody and the main reason is that I cant eat whatever I want. For me, having to eat 6 cheezeburgers a day for 4 weeks would be just as bad or worse than a regular diet. Thats just my opinion but if it works for you thats great.

Im still looking for the magic pill that will let me eat what I want and still drop my bodyfat %

it was either Palmer or Life and I hated Iowa when I visited..and I really dig Atlanta :)

are you a chiro?

anyways, this is to that guy who said he wasnt tryin to be "an asshole" but it was a "shitty idea"

yeah whatever puny fuckstick...thats like me saying "i'm not trying to be an asshole but your mom is a fucking stank ass crack whore"

The whole point of the diet is using reverse psychology...making you sick of the taste of "junk food" so that you wont crave it as much or at all (and for me, fast food is my junk food) while still shedding fat and actually dieting fuck wad:mad:
