Let me tell you about medical doctors. My mom died of cancer when I was a kid. The doctors told my dad she would be fine. She was dead two weeks later.
I have pancrease diease and have been to Indiana University and have great doctors here in Austin. There advise Octertide which has "shown to slow down pancrease digestion" and pain killers for attacks. I have been told after monthly hospital stays there is nothing they can do. " every test" has been done and I am " one of the 5%" they can't put a reason to. I have a very good chance of pancrease cancer which has a very high death rate.
what this board has done is offer me options i would never know about. its very naive to assume doctors will discus herbal solutions or the what nots its all about drugs. by the way look up the price of 30 ml kit of octeride it's $2,700 per shot. is it working? well i keep going back to the hospital but my doc keeps saying keep taking it.
change doctors? yup have 3 times and again seen 1 of the worlds top 5 pancreas doctors at Indiana University. mental attitude very important as posted but so is asking others and having options. would you beleive i have learned more about the drug i am on from RIO than i have from my docs? if Fonz or Marco or anybody else here with there knowledge offers me advise on natural alternatives I am smart enough to go through the info and sort things out for whats best for me.
unless you have a diesase its unfair to tell others how to act.
