Fml...

I've been in touch with Stero and he's in the best place in Western Canada for what he's dealing with. I think he'll be there for awhile yet but he's got lots of good supports.

Woot...you should drive up...we'll surprise him!! LOL

Fuck him lol

You know nothing about me and you obviously don't know shit about either pneumonia or MI's. If it were truly serious he would have been intubated within the first 24 hours before the abx could take effect. If it were a true cardiac event the EKG would have been abnormal and he would have mentioned the serious IV cardiac meds he was being given ie. Heparin, nitroglycerin or mentioned the stat heart cath/angiogram he needed. It's shitty but using my common knowledge nursing skills was able to determine it wasn't life threatening.

I have a ton of empathy and sensitivity. I would never have chosen this profession If I didn't. I get cases all the time that I cry over when I get home. I hold hands and rub backs and actually sit down with my patients, even when I'm super behind, just to get to know their story. I hug and cry with parents of deceased children. I console grief stricken family members and patients. I give sympathy when it's actually warranted; so I'll be sure to call you at your parents house next time I get a paper cut so you can send me a care basket and put me in for a prayer request. You don't know fucking dick about me or my character bish so seriously stick to what you know...whatever the fuck that is.

Ha ha ha ha ha since when has a heparin drip and nitro been "serious cardiac meds". Just thought it funny when reading the thread. Thought it pretty lame...considering my extensive acute care history as an RN! I hope you feel better!

Because faggot, a heparin and nitro gtt is protocol post MI.

lololol...just when I thought this thread was dead!

I'm alive and I've finally been released from the hospital, thank god... One more day in there and I would of slit my own throat with my car keys... Pnemonia is gone for good hopefully, as for my heart, after the angiogram everything looked open and clear, in my heart. So hopefully I can get back into the gym again soon enough, and start living life normal again. Doctor still recommends me not to weightlift or exert myself... But then again I've always been a stubborn SOB.

So that means you are going to hit a gram of test and 100mg A bombs today?

wait..how do you go from having "serious heart problems" and needing a pace maker to everything being okay...

Doctors thought I had a heart attack on my ECG, then in the MRI it showed that the tissue was still alive, and that it was thinner than all the other muscle around it for some reason. I still have to deal with getting a pacemaker as an out patient. Because of my heart condition, hypertrophic cardio myopathy. It turns out after they went through the angiogram everything seemed pretty open and clear. They still have me taking atenolol 75mg twice daily, ASA, and cholesterol pills everyday.

You see a lot of young pro athletes dropping dead all the time during there games because of the same heart disease I have. That's why they want to throw in a pacemaker for prevention.

Not sure... Haven't made that decision yet... I think I'm yet still in denial that all this has happened. But until I start feeling harmful effects on my body or heart, I'm going to continue to do what I do I think. I've never felt any strain or heart palpitations while exerting myself. I know I might be putting myself into a life or death situation here, but who knows really...

he replaced glad completely with this post

It might sound crazy to a lot of you, but for me it's just something I love to do so much. And it's hard to hear when the doctors tell you not to keep doing the thing you love so much. Its left me very confused on what to do. It's not my heart that hospitalized me it was the pneumonia. And because of my known heart condition they did a lot of tests on it to make sure it was ok, because the pneumonia bug had left it inflamed. But right now everything looks ok in my heart for now.

You can probably safely continue to body build, without hitting the tren ace and a bombs. Take baby steps, ngr.

btw, pm the address to your cabin. I'm claiming it when you die.

It might not be your heart, but look at what fucking drugs you are doing....Pneumonia aside...give your fucking head a shake...you are a kid! Why do so much AAS....makes no fucking sense to me...sorry man, just looking out for you...what the fuck do i know....

Stero glad to see you doing better bro! As much as I hate to say it I agree with Mitch. Bro with a known heart condition I would think long and hard before I returned to the body building lifestyle. This lifestyle is very strenuous on the organs as you know. I think I would rather be alive than big and dead bro.

Stero, I get it. Many of us take risks every day with our health that we wouldn't dream of recommending to another person. I agree with the guys above: The smart thing to do here would be to find other things in life that you're passionate about and to let fitness/bodybuilding become a less serious hobby, or throw yourself with your same level of commitment into "clean" bodybuilding. But I can't tell someone else to do that because it would be a huge hypocrisy. So I'm not saying never touch anything again, but I would recommend at least making sure you are crystal clear on what happened here, and can accurately quantify the risk you're taking. It doesn't sound like you have that yet.

Was your cardiomyopathy an underlying preexisting medical condition or was it induced by what you were taking? Is it a dilated cardiomyopathy or is it hypertrophic? I don't know all the ins and outs of how cycling AAS affects the heart in each of these scenarios (I know there has been some written about cardiomyopathies but I'd have to check). Perhaps it makes sense to find out.... It may take your doctors a while to get to the bottom of all of this and it seems prudent to at least wait until they do.

Another thought is, whether or not you call that doc I recommended to you (I know it's expensive) it makes sense to have an MD you can be honest with about whatever you're doing. I would encourage you, if nothing else, to build yourself a good treatment team (primary care, cardiologist, endocrinologist if necessary) to help you have the best chance to stay healthy in the event that you decide to take a risk. You might catch some flak but it's better than the alternative.

Also, for the record, there is some evidence that AAS use can be immunosuppressive. I wouldn't rush to dismiss the idea that the pneumonia could be related. Just an educational tidbit.

Finally, I have enclosed a tribute pic and encourage others to follow suit. The memory of the bygone leg pics is enough. I think we'd rather have your lame posts in CnC for years to come than see your crazy-ass log cabin leg pics ;) Besides, Plank is only gonna mangina them up anyway.

xo, C

Them legs are nice, but i need to see neck down to get a better perspective

It's a pre existing medical condition, and doctors have always told me since I was a small child to never play in any organized sports or to exert myself in competing physical activity. It's a hypertrophy, thickening of the heart muscle. They are just saying further down the road it could lead to problems, if I continue doing bodybuilding. But I've never had problems with exerting myself in any sort of way. I just don't know how concerned I should be right now on my condition and where I will be 10 years from now, I mean priorities change over time for everyone.

*ekg

ecg = shiny American version of electrocardiogram.

ekg = old German version of Elektrokardiogramm

So ekg is for us old schoolers out there who didn't need fancy automated waveform analyzers.

EKG refers to a 12 lead recorded/interpreted heart rhythm with 12 different waveforms. It's in reference to a diagnostic test.

ECG is of only a single waveform and gives only a very basic readout. It's used for basic cardiac rhythm monitoring, not diagnosing.

In summary, you diagnose with an EKG which is what stero was referencing. You monitor with an ECG

I had a really good friend in high school who was on our baseball team. He had a heart problem and he and his parents knew about it, but they let him play because he was unhappy when he wasn't playing. Baseball was his love. Long story short, the kid died at practice our junior year when he was 17. Passed right out at practice after feeling totally fine, maybe could've been saved but it took an ambulance 2 hours to get there when a fire station was across the street (which his parents won a $2M law suit for).

So what I'm saying is, just because you don't feel anything doesn't mean nothing is wrong, stero. You might not feel something coming before it comes. I'm not telling you to stop doing what you love, I hear you say you love lifting, but do you love it more than living? Bc that's what you need to decide before you go fucking around...

Yeah, but Stero will probably be fine because PDaddy said so. And PDaddy is an expert.

The rest of us should stop blowing these "heart problems" out of the water.

Don't listen to her bro, she's just being a buzz kill. Have fun, start a coke habit, run a continuous maintenance tren dose, red meat 6x a day, start smoking...just don't STOP having fun and doing whatever the fuck feels good.

Everyones an expert when compared to you. I'll try to keep the words in my posts under 3 syllables so you can keep up.

Listen guys, I was pre-med for about 2 months after I was poli-sci and before I was music education, so chill the fuck out amateurs. I know wtf is up.

Stero...glad you're home. Just take it one day at a time and go slow. Don't make any rash decisions!

yeah it's pretty much out of action
bring me a bowl of soup could you

I'm going to restart after some time off. Start small like everyone's said. And slowly take baby steps back up.
