It's a pre existing medical condition, and doctors have always told me since I was a small child to never play in any organized sports or to exert myself in competing physical activity. It's a hypertrophy, thickening of the heart muscle. They are just saying further down the road it could lead to problems, if I continue doing bodybuilding. But I've never had problems with exerting myself in any sort of way. I just don't know how concerned I should be right now on my condition and where I will be 10 years from now, I mean priorities change over time for everyone.

Wait a minute....you knew this shit and you are doing mass amounts of AAS??? What the fuck is wrong with you....fuck im seriously mad

doctors thought i had a heart attack on my ecg, then in the mri it showed that the tissue was still alive, and that it was thinner than all the other muscle around it for some reason. I still have to deal with getting a pacemaker as an out patient. Because of my heart condition, hypertrophic cardio myopathy. It turns out after they went through the angiogram everything seemed pretty open and clear. They still have me taking atenolol 75mg twice daily, asa, and cholesterol pills everyday.

*ekg

ecg = shiny American version of electrocardiogram.

ekg = old German version of Elektrokardiogramm

So ekg is for us old schoolers out there who didn't need fancy automated waveform analyzers.

EKG refers to a 12 lead recorded/interpreted heart rhythm with 12 different waveforms. It's in reference to a diagnostic test.

ECG is of only a single waveform and gives only a very basic readout. It's used for basic cardiac rhythm monitoring, not diagnosing.

In summary, you diagnose with an EKG which is what stero was referencing. You monitor with an ECG

I had a really good friend in high school who was on our baseball team. He had a heart problem and he and his parents knew about it, but they let him play because he was unhappy when he wasn't playing. Baseball was his love. Long story short, the kid died at practice our junior year when he was 17. Passed right out at practice after feeling totally fine, maybe could've been saved but it took an ambulance 2 hours to get there when a fire station was across the street (which his parents won a $2M law suit for).

So what I'm saying is, just because you don't feel anything doesn't mean nothing is wrong, stero. You might not feel something coming before it comes. I'm not telling you to stop doing what you love, I hear you say you love lifting, but do you love it more than living? Bc that's what you need to decide before you go fucking around...
