FINAL WORD!!!!! CARDIO 1st or TRAINING 1st--when cutting?

Yep, on or off, training comes first. I never do them together anymore, but when I did, training first, cardio second. You want full strength for the heavy weights. Best way for me is cardio in the am on an empty stomach, weights in the afternoon after 3 meals or so when i'm strongest.

You may not have as much energy, but AM cardio on an empty stomach illicits the most fat loss, without question. Having a couple meals in you during PM will give more endurance and preserve more muscle, but remember its the meals that are being burned, not your fat.

ok but everyone say first thing in morning on empty stomach burns most fat---you suppose to train on empty stomach then do cardio on empty stomach all before first meal????
in the AM is different unless you weight train in the AM. If not unless you are really chunky 3 days a week cardio for 30 min should be fine. Most fat loss is better done through diet manipulation. I rarley....never do cardio even in contest prep.

for me, trainin is best about 5-8 hours after i wake up.

in the a.m, i'm flat and weak.
but around mid day, i get that nice bloat that i feel makes me stronger.

so if you had to choose one, id go with cardio in the a.m..
eat, rest, then pump 6-8 hours later.

Thats exactly what I do, and I feel great throughout the day.

In a perfect world with all the time in the world you would cardio in the AM on an empty stomach and train at night.

Personally I can't eat before I do any type of w/o - I'd hurl.
Doing cardio a few hours (3) after you eat is close enough to cardio on a emtpy morning stomach.

If you must eat before you train, then train first and then do cardio if you can't split up the two.

As a Quadsweep lab rat for dieting , I'd have to agree with him ;) He had me down to around 3.8% w/absolutely no cardio. I'd rather diet correctly instead of draggin my lazy ass onto a piece of cardio equipment at anytime durring the day!

BTW, how's it goin Quad? I am rarely on here anymore, usually just stop by to catch a post or two and make sure my account doesn't get deleted. Life is still hectic as hell and I'm chomping at the bit to get back into the swing of things.
