Don't stop when it burns, i never saw any size or anything on my calves til i started doing that, even when it hurts so bad just keep going and doing partial reps if you can, if your able to get another rep . . do it. The idea on calves is to try and pump them up, get blood in them, anotherwards do several sets, i do around 5 to 6, go heavy and don't count reps, just go til you can't anymore, then rest and put less weight on and go into the 25 rep range and do more if you can. Really focus on the muscle being worked, feel the muscle and keep form good. Another way to get calves well developed is running hills up and down them, it'll hit it from every angle you want. On your workouts, do semi stretched position, it works beyond beleif. It is when you don't go all the way up on the positive part, only go lightly above the midpoint, don't rest at the top and bottom of the workout, same pace the entire time, no rest. In the end i think semi-strecthed will really help you, it made me finally grow, don't reach the peak go partially up.
