I couldn't agree with this more.
My gf's son and his gf have moved in with us temporarily. We are trying to help them get their life started. She got a job with my gf right away, while he sits around playing xbox or sleeping all day. He'll get off his ass here and there and apply for a bunch of jobs, but then he thinks that's all he has to do and puts her on cruise control. He's a smart kid and a hard worker, when he has something to do, but he has zero motivation.
I want them out before winter, and he knows it. She'll probably leave his ass by then anyway. Frustrated as fuck.
Even yesterday I went to take him to get a new drivers permit, cause he lost his(kids 18), and after waking him 5 times(at 11 am), he comes out and says he doesn't have his birth cert. So while I am calling the DMV to see if it's needed(which it wasn't) he's on the phone chatting with one of his buddies.
I don't understand this. I have been working since I was 15(36 now) and have had 2 months without a job. I wanted to work. I wanted my own money. To buy my own car. To have my own place. WTF is wrong with this generation?!!!!!

My stepdaughter, the 25 y/o lump, is already taking up space at my place
