Fess up....who does not even work out these days???

The feds like to call this a "juice board."

That would be true of the anabolic board but lumping the chat board into that is pretty far fetched.

I would wager that most of you cats do not juice at all, about half have never done it, and another number tried bogus stuff.

I don't even work out. Lost interest in the club scene. Looking for a big weight set for the basement though. I get too lean without some pumping going on. Also....old injuries kill me without adequate strenght to compensate for the damaged/destroyed connective tissue.

Anyone relate?

Confession be good for the soul.

I lift monday, wensday and fridays. Do sprints on tuesdays and thursdays but lately I haven't been as consistent with those.

No, I look like this without working out or juice... hell I am noticably bigger and leaner than my avatar now... guess its just good genetics. Thanks mom and dad.

5 Days a week while on tour, 2 times a day while off. Have to do something to get the ladies attention. MY witty personality only works sometimes.

I stopped working out for about a year, just got run down with school and work. I took weights over the summer, lifted for about 2 months. It was really depressing as my old bench max was 385, and I was barely able to put up 225 for a few reps.

Anywho, this friday I am buying a home gym thingy, the Golds Xr-5 which has a lat pulldown, adjustable bench, squat catch, preacher curl, and ham/quad developer. I'm gonna get about 350 pounds of weight and then some adjustable dumbbells also, so I can start doing the shit at home.

The really sad thing about all of this is that my weight training cessation coincided with my certification under ACE as a PT, along with the purchase of Personal Trainer and Nutrition Certification materials from ISSA, which have been sitting here collecting dust for about 8 months.

Time to get started on that now, I suppose.

I keep thinking about knocking out a set of push ups.

I be lazy as hell this year.

Stange thing though....I only lost 8 push ups from not working out.

I;m on a week long break from training this week. It feels pretty good. But other than a very occasional 5-7 day break, I lift very consistently. Never juiced tho.

I lifted about 5-6 months last year, which was my first back from a 7-yr layoff. I didn't lift this year May-June but I think I'm in for the long haul now. If I need a day off I take it.

No juice and I haven't been working out much the last couple of months (injuries, two jobs, lazyness) but my schedule will be changing soon and I plan to hit the gym 4x per week.

Injuries are killing me but I will perservere. I hit the sh*t 5 days out of the week. With a hectic class schedule I swear its the only thing that keeps me sane anymore.

Occasionaly I'll take a week off. took one off this year due to injuries.

lump me in the "never juiced" catagory.

only been lifting for a year, and wish i would've started seriously much younger. i've had 2 month long breaks in the past year and regretted both of them because of loss of strength. kinda ticked me off that i worked as hard as i did for a few months to then go ahead and lose almost all the strength in a month.

barring injuries or further back problems, i'm in for the long haul with the weights. some day i'll realize cardio isn't as evil as i think it is and i'll try that out too.

Same here - never juiced...never will. I haven't worked out in like 2 weeks - just been dealing w/ stress @ work etc. I'll get back to it though... it's no big deal.

I never stop training due to stress. Thats the best time to work your body if you ask me. I plan my breaks as to when my body needs a rest from the lifting. It's usually once very 3-4 months.

I have just finished taking about a month off due to moving and other time consuming things, but I'm back on the horse. This break has been about my only stoppage for about 5 years.

Are you gonna get back on the subway diet?

Yeah I know what u mean Smurf...but I can't...this is some serious stuff. Besides, doesn't help that I have a pinched nerve in my leg... :worried:

Haven't seen the inside of a gym for 4 months. Havn't eaten anything healthy for about as long. Bodyfat is way up, muscle way down. I don't even look like I _used_ to work out.

But I feel great, and now that my work schedule has calmed down somewhat, I'm starting to get back into living a healthy lifestyle.

go to the gym 6 days a week. 3 days for lifting, 3 days for plyometric work, and endurance work 4 times a week.

I dont workout at all right now. I cant figure out why, I think maybe it is because I'm really lazy and I like to make excuses not to do it.

In the summer I was too tired to do it after work, and so far this school, I havent worked out because I tell myself that I have errands and shit to do after class.

i bet if i ask lumberg, he'll say it's obvious you're doing sets of kegels all day long.

hell, ALL women should do kegels all day long.

I've lost a lot of my desire for a lot of things, just sitting here watching my mass dwindle. It's actually pretty depressing but I am getting tired of chasing my tail. That is what the bulk of my life has felt like: me chasing my tail. No matter how hard I work or how I try to do the right thing in the end I always seem to have made mistakes that only fuck things up.

I have been trying to train but I just dont have the strength or desire anymore.

Maybe a month here and there but been consistently working out for more than 5 years. I'm on Test all the time because my natural test levels are low, have a prescription for it.

If you are referring to whether or not you have gotten in good shape before, believe me dear, you definately havent just been chasing your tail!

You've made good progress. Granted this has to be difficult right now to train and eat right with the digestive problems you've been having, but that is not your fault, so i wouldnt let it bother you. You didnt fuck anything up, its not your fault.

of course, you may be referring to something besides training I suppose. And if that is the case, then I guess I will shut up.

But still, thats no excuse to stop working out!

(but then again, i shouldnt talk, since i am pretty lazy myself) ;)

I havent been in a month as my prior work schedule just wouldnt allow it without burning me out ,but now that schools back Ill be bulking large

My workouts have been very sporadic lately due to the divorce and all. I think I've gotten in one good workout at most per week for the past two months. I have been throwing a few chins and dips in before showers at night though. Strangely enough, I seem to be making progress doing less intensive chins / dips but more often (almost daily). Maybe I need to make a program around this, the "daily little workout" program. :D

have been at it for four and a half years now without having missed more than a week for scheduled breaks. diet has been as strict as a Catholic school nun teacher except for minor slacking on the weekends. still making progress albeit much slower so that's totally sweet in addition to being completely awesome.

Same. Weight lifting is a part of my lifestyle...nothing will change that. Unless I lose my arms and legs.

I could still hit my abs though.

I am young and have seen some amazing changes..doubt I will stop lifting .. lift 4x a week..no cardio because diet is strict

The hardest part is the eating....I can't imagine what it is like for some of you guys trying to MAINTAIN at 250-300lbs forget trying to get more mass at that weight....

i knew a dude that'd get his hands on some test, start using and be in the gym for a week or two, then stop going to the gym but still stay on for a little while longer. i guess you got him beat cause you don't even work out.

dogs and horses get huge on roids and they don't weightlift. Why should I?

They have a much higher AR count than you do. Race horses get 50 mg of boldenon a week. See if you gain a single lbs of lbm on that.

I'll just take 1g/day then. Powders are cheap

I lift 2 sometimes 3 times a week(depending on how much time I have for my workout),run and hit the leathers(heavy bag, speed bag etc) 3 times a week also and take the weekends off.

I've noticed that I start to feel run down and moody if I stop working out for a while.

This is my life, without it I would be constantly bored and restless.

yeah...stupid

Niether one here. Haven't been in the gym for about 1.5 yrs. It turned into an extended rest period for me. It all ends today though. This was my last weekend being lazy. Everything starts tomorrow for me.

Yeah you could do that for $10 a week. Boldenone is cheap and easy to make.

same here. couldn't imagine my life without the gym...i'd probably be in a straight jacket, chewing away at the padding on the walls so that i could find something to bang my head on till i passed out, only to wake up and do it again

i would go to the gym every day for sure, if I didnt have a job.

I experienced this anamoly one summer, when I didnt have a job. (or lets just say I did, but they never let me work)

Maybe I shouldnt get a job right after I get out of college, and just spend my first year working out like crazy, getting in good shape again.

dont juice, but i train frequently

as ive said in previous posts, im trying to see how little i can train (down from 6 days a week) and still either maintain, or get some gains. ive cut it down to 3 times a week, and im actually gaining!! (how good is that !)

anyway now ive cut the frequency down so much, i have all this extra time in my week...so im going to hit up the muay thai again

I want to look better at 42 than I did at 22.

My gains exploaded when I cut down the number of exercises. All I do now for weight training is.

All are 4 sets of 6 reps, slow and controlled(heavy, but not aneurysm heavy)
Chest= Flat Bench press
Triceps=Skull crushers with EZ curl bar.

Back=deadlift/shrug combo.
Biceps=standing EZ curl bar curls.

Legs=Squat or running.

What's "exploded"? Perhaps you were overtrained before. Maybe you sleep or eat more now. Don't just attribute it to cutting out exercises. Maybe you can progressively load more now that there's less to actually progress on?

I definitly eat less now, I do sleep more though. I really think it's from cutting back on the exercises though.

I started packing on muscle once I dropped all but the "core" exercises.

I have burnt out in the past and I don't want it to happen again; I hope to be doing some type of regular activity for the next 20 years. My focus has changed from size/strength to muscularity & aerobic conditioning. I'm 5'8", 250 now but I want to end each successive year weighing less and less.
