Quick Q..

Myself & my bf go to the gym late ( 730ish) meaning we dont get home until 8-9pm & then commence to have our post wo shakes, get home, eat a quick dinner ( egg whites usually )..

Would it be recommended to eat our supper before the gym, then have our pwoshakes & just eat cottage cheese before bed..??

Otherwise it seems like we are cramming in WAY too much right before bed.. ( bedtime is 10pm)...

thanks all you smarty pants & panties!! :)

Hi LG!

That depends on the individual. I'd rather eat a good meal after. That said, it depends on the lapse time before your last meal and bed.
You can try having the shake an hour before training, then your meal after.
If that doesn't work, try supper, shake and cc as you said. Play with it until you find what works for you.

Maybe try drinking your pwo shake while you train so you are finishing it as you leave. Have your dinner 30-45 minutes later. If your dinner is close to bed time and it contains a good amount of protein and healthy fats you could probably skip the cottage cheese. Or even include the cc with your dinner. Piling more food on top of undigested food is never a good idea.

Feeding times are all over the place for me :xeye: wake up at 5 a.m. eat a banana sometimes have breakfast til like 9a.m. (fruit, 100 calorie or less nutribar or multigrain cereal) then lunch at noon, snack at 2-3p.m. then gym around 4-5p.m. get home aroung 8 cook something and go to bed... not very good... but for now better than what it used to... :s
