SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Bonds' personal trainer told federal agents he gave steroids to several baseball players, according to documents released Tuesday.

No players were identified, and it was unclear whether the trainer, Greg Anderson, gave specific names.

Anderson was one of four men charged last week in a steroid-distribution ring that supplied athletes with steroids and other banned substances. All four pleaded not guilty. No athletes have been charged.

Federal officials released two affidavits Tuesday that supported search warrants used in raids on Anderson's home in September.

"Inside Anderson's residence, agents found steroids, syringes and other paraphernalia associated with steroid distribution activities," the documents said. "In addition, agents found files identifying specific athletes. These files contained calendars, which appear to contain references to daily doses of steroids and growth hormones."

The indictment announced last week said federal agents found about $63,920 in cash in a locked safe at Anderson's residence during the first raid.

"Some of the money was broken up into separate envelopes with the first names of known athlete clients written on them," the documents released Tuesday said.

The new documents said Anderson initially denied distributing steroids in discussions with federal agents but later said he sometimes "gave" steroids to people he knew.

"Upon further questioning, Anderson admitted that he had given steroids to several professional baseball players," the documents said.

Anderson and Bonds were not immediately available for comment Tuesday.

What a shame. This is a witch hunt that our tax dollars do not need to be supporting. The feds are just greedy because under forfeiture stautes they get to rob BALCO and everyone else involve and keep the cash. They can even take away all your cash in advance so that you cannot afford a 1st tier lawyer and have to use a public defender to try and get it back. Needless to say, that rarely happens.

looks like Barry might have an asterisk next to his record. Just the way his body looks, tells me he has taken roids. I could careless as I love watching him play. The guy is an unbelievably good baseball player.

Nothing is going to happen. Do you think they would ruin baseball? NO WAY IN HELL!! They will just let it be known not to fuck around anymore..

Busting people for cheating would not ruin baseball. All he'll get is suspended.

They want to give the HR record back to Mark McGwire....it's all conspiracy by The Man just trying to keep a brotha down.

give the record back to mcgwire another juicer...? either way it doesnt matter, its not like a unfair advantage if everyone else is juicing.

Obviously!

Sadly, I know for fact they're are people (in New York atleast) that would argue this. Any player of this generation breaking a record should be questioned.

THG wasn't banned, nor were any other steroids according to MLB rules, when Barry broke the record. So even if he was juiced like a mofo, he didn't cheat. And if they try to tarnish Barry to restore lustre to Mark McGwire, I'll be the first to play the race card (and I'm white!!!) because Big Mac looked like he used even more juice than Barry!
