Fatting question

New member
Hey all,
I heard that when you gain weight (when you get fat) not only you increase the size of your fat cells but also you increase the number of them, but when you lose weight you just decrease the size of the fat cells. Meaning, it's getting harder and harder to lose weight.
Is it true?
Bye.

If I remember correctly the number of fat cells you have remains constant throughout your lifetime, but the size of them can change.

You are correct, sir. Fat cells are here, always have been, and always will be. They just get fatter or skinnier :)

If I'm not mistaken, lipo surgery and compounds such as PGF2a are the only ways to rid your body of fat cells, permanently. Whether I recommend these or not is a different story :)
