Funny thing is, though, that more die die anually due to liver and kidney failure thanks to alcohol abuse as opposed to steroids, yet IT IS FREELY AVAILABLE so long as you are of age to have it.

You got that right. I get pissed every time people talk about it/him. It's not what he was taking that hurt him. It was the fact that he was taking it wrong. If he had done the same thing with ibeprophin, he would have hurt him self even worse. But no one would be talking about it I bet....

Bro if you look into it you'll find alcohol is one of the most damaging things people put in their bodies. Worse than many rec drugs.

I know ... I HAVE actually spent a lot of time looking into it and researching it. Doesn't seem to matter to government, though, and I cannot, for the LIFE OF ME understand it.

Well the people who make and pass laws don't really look at facts, they work off emotion. If banning something which is unpopular will get them votes they'll do it. Works the other way too, look at prohibition in the US, it was bloody unpopular and repealing it won votes for whichever politician advocated its repeal, sorry not all that good with US history.

well the DEA and every govt agency was against banning steroids simply because they aren't addictive. it was congress that banned them, and we get to pick who we elect so if you guys would stop voting them in then things would be different. every single person who is bitching on this thread has voted in a congressman who also voted for that bill. i can guarantee it. or you should run yourself for office.

The problem there is politicians often don't do what they say they will. Using prohibition as an example again

I got this from wiki So I'm not Sure how accurate it is but it shows the hypocrisy of the politicians. The media is also to blame, look at how easily they can whip up hysteria with inaccurate sensational headlines, then politicians use that to get votes by supporting public opinion then don't do what they said they were gonna do. For a more recent example just look at the amount of U turns Obama's made since coming to office.
