ok, so Im putting this up to get comments about some exercises to do with dumbbells at home if you can't get to the gym. What would you add/remove from this routine?

35lb dumbbells (its all I have access to)
MONDAY WEDNESDAY & FRIDAY
*five sets of 50 push ups for warm up*
Regular standing curls- 10 reps 5 sets
Triceps- 10 reps 5 sets
Over Head press- 10 reps 5 sets
Shrugs- 10 reps 5 sets
Flat chest press- 10 reps 5 sets
Flat chest flies- 10 reps 5 sets
* workout goes curls, tris, oh press, shrugs, fc press, then fc flies, repeat *

TUESDAY THURSDAY SATURDAY AND SUNDAY
Burpees-100 reps (sets of 10)
Star jumps-1000 reps (sets of 50)
Pull ups-50 reps (sets of 5)

I'd change literally everything.....holy shit...... First of all 5x50 pushups is way too much for a warmup, if you like pushups do them as a finisher at the end of your workouts. Secondly you dont work out your legs at all in this routine. With only access to 35 lb's db's you are pretty limited though. Still, I would take those 50 pullups you are doing 4 days a week and cut out 1-2 of those days, and do weighted pullups. With 2 35 lb db's that's 70 lbs of weight, and you could work up to 3 sets of 15 reps with both db's attached on a belt to your waist. Your core and back and arms will be extremely strong if you can do that. I would do db squats holding the db's, 1 leg deadlifts, etc. Get creative. And please please please do not use that routine, 3 days of the exact same setup a week is retarded.

T-block is right, haha when I started lifting I used to just repeat the same routine each workout and I would stall 3 weeks later. If your serious about getting big get agym membership, if thats not in the cards then work on weighted pull ups those are amazing.

theres no reason you cant workout at home with what you have. i dont think your plan is good. i recommend this.

monday chest, try, delts

3x as many as you can do pushups
3x as many as you can do standing db ohp
3x as many as you can do dips

wednesday back, bi, forarm
3x as many as you can do chins wide grip
3x as many as you can do chins close rev grip
2x as many as you can do bicep curls
2x as many as you can do forearm curls

friday back abs
5x as many as you can do db lunges
3x as many as you can do jumps
2x as many as you can do situps

whats your diet look like? diet is where the growth comes from.

lmao.. I guess this is why I am no personal trainer nor do I want to be. In the end it's better than doing nothing at all. After looking at it on here it does seem to be a bit much and a bit repetitive. I might try what you posted Joe

Oh and Im doin an ephedrine and caffeine right now so diet isnt all that great since my appetite is basically gone. I do eat 3 meals a day but the portions are pretty small. I do a post workout whey isolate shake and that's really it for now.

I was thinking of starting p90x while on the ec just for a rounded out workout program and not focus so much on weights

What are your goals?

With a diet like that, you're not going to see optimal gains in lean body mass or strength.

And...are you a damn male or a female haha

if you were willing to then for a small amount of money you could greatly increase the amount of exercises you could do and the amount of weight you can use...

Man..

jackass

I can't tell if you were calling him a jackass in a tongue-in-cheek, joking manner or not.

In case you weren't joking though, we don't allow members to talk to each other that way or flame each other in this forum. You want to talk like that you can go to the chat forum.

In either case, your gender evidently wasn't obvious, so no one is the jackass, really (well, maybe you for calling him that).

Anyway, first and only warning to treat others in a respectful manner here. Please don't let it happen again or you will not be allowed to return (at least for a while, depending on how you behave after that).
