What's up fellas? I have an idea I've been rolling around in my head. I have a 150 lb. German Rotweiller that suffers from hip and joint problems. He's getting pretty old so surgery is out of the question at this point. He's currently taking several medication to help his ailing, including rimadyl, tramadol, and an injection called adequan. The medication is helping a lot but it's only a matter of time before things gets worse. So, at this point, I am thinkning about possibly experimenting with low doses of deca or maybe hgh. Hell, if it keeps old people alive why shouldn't I give it to my sweet hound? If you have any advice or info please post.

If the rottweiler is 150 lb, some 300-400 mg/week deca to start will be fine.

Rimadyl is a NSAID for arthritis, be aware that for bone fractures NSAIDs are a no-no even tough some doctors dont know it, but deca is fine.

Adequan is similar to glucosamine, by the way, if you have some at hand, may help the dog.

Tramadol is an opiace pain killer, just a step to la-la land.

Believe it or not, Ive known many ppl who put thier dogs on Winny. Of course theyre juiceheads who want thier dog to look like them. Since winny is a vet steroid, it builds some sick muscle on dogs. Ive seen some jacked pitbulls and rotties bro. Fkn ripped and solid. I dont think Hip Dysplasia will be FIXED on gear. Only surgery can do that. But maybe the Winny will help with the surrounding muscles and stabilize the joints.

Actually, you prob can find a Vet that would presribe some Vet type Deca for your dog...... Vets are usually more compassionate then Human Docs, and if youre willing to pay, many don't have a problem writing scripts.... The only obstacle is they might think you want it for yourself, but if you know the Vet pretty well, and they know you love your dog, you might be ok...... It can't hurt to ask your Vet, the worst they can say is No.... If they do, you can get some black market Deca for the dog..... The HGH is a bit overkill IMO..... It's just too expensive, and might not help like you think it will..... The Deca will help though, I think it's a good idea if you can get it.....

Just a thought but if winny is bad for our joints wouldn't it be bad for your dogs?

I would guess the deca would be allright. Dude post some before & after pics of the dog!

SNIFF!!! i smell a plan already in progress.

Hey, I know we love our dogs... but no way Im shelling out mega money for things like hgh for my dog. Some people let their love for their animals go overboard. I even saw a lady that would only let her dog drink Perrier bottled water, can you believe that shit?!

I worked at Vet clinic for 5 yrs while I was in college. We used alot of Winstrol V on older dogs, and even many of the older Tennessee Walking Horses. The Adequan usually seemed to work pretty well also. I don't think the Tramadol is a narcotic, as one person stated in their post, put it seems to be almost as effective as some of the milder opiates. Most Vets would charge you an arm and a leg for the Winstrol, so I would probably spend my money on the Adequan if money is an issue, if its not then it wouldn't hurt. But one of the things you might watch is it might cause him to gain weight, which would probably hurt his hips and joints more than the help you would get from the Winstrol I never saw any of the vets put any animals on Deca, put if you could talk one into it, you could bring the dog in for his injections every week or two, til the Vet trusted you that it was going to the dog and not to you. Then he might let you give it to him yourself.
About the HGH, and you might ask someone more knowledgeable like Ulter, or Macro, but the Human Growth Hormone is made to correspond to Human amino acids, that's why it 191 or 192AA. It might not make a difference as to whether it would work according to a dogs amino acid structure, but I would definitely would want to know he(your dog) was going to get some benefit from it before I subjected him to ED or EOD shots.
Hope you can find some help for him. It really sucks having to see a dog go through the last part of his life like that. :(
