Does this photo assignment sound like fun???

Weather......around 30 degrees

Speed........80 knots?

Altitude......150 feet or so

Degree of bank............50

Window..........open

Position........partially outside of window clutching $5000 worth of photo gear and............taking photos.

If the plane "malfunctions"......................well...............TB had to go. :)

Where in colorado is the altitude only 150 feet?

Other than that, sounds like a typical winter day in Denver.

For me yes! For you good god no! But just in case something goes wrong film it so I can send it to America's Funniest Home videos!

Aurora....aerial photo assignment.

First one....I'm excited.

areola aerial photo assignment, sign me up! lol

wtf?

Oh you mean 150 feet above the ground. Cool. I used to take aerial photos of wineries around here for people. It was pretty damn good money. But, I also have access to planes, thus low overhead.

Have a good one, don't forget to use a strap.

wHAT LENS OR LENSES DID YOU FAVOR?

i THOUGHT I MAY NEED TO SHOOT AT f/1.8 OR SO WITH CLOUDY WEATHER AND A MOVING PLANE.

dIGITAL EXCELS AT iso 800 SO i SHOULD BE ALRIGHT.

I just used my Nikon 2020. Most of the time I would use either the 50mm or a 30-80. Basically, didn't want or need much zoom because the pics needed to be of a pretty large area. I ran 400 iso Fuji. The planes cruise around 95mph with stall speeds of about 30-35mph, so I could get away with slower film/shutter. speeds.

I also experimented with infra-red but didn't go too far with it.

One of the shots is only a couple acres, you were probably shooting hundreds or thousands of acres per shot.

That was kind of fun. The wind hits the camera way too hard so I stayed inside of the plane.

The AFB restricted out flight plans severely.

Now the real work begins.

Aurora is too hot for prime time, we try for a low profile.
