Does anyone gain a hella lot of fat around the waist during bulking cycles?

Just wanted to know if anyone else experiences accumulation of fat around the gut and sides ("love handles") during a bulking cycle. My last one was 500mg Sust/400mg Deca EW for 8 weeks, and now after post-cycle therapy is over I can see the muscle has remained, but so did the fat. Does anyone else gain like this? What can I do to change this in the future to prevent so much fat gain? I suppose starting to cut-up would be the best thing now so that the muscle will be more defined....

Heh, you guessed it...about 4,500-5k cals ED for those 8 weeks. Next time I think I will be a bit more clean with the eating... :p
 
Could the extra abdominal fat be due to increased cortisol levels when on exogeneous test? I believe it is theorized (or proven?) that abdominal adipocytes are richer in stress hormone receptors. While AAS block glucocorticoid receptors in muscle, they may be free to run rampant in your belly.

Increased cortisol -> increased appetite for junk food

Interesting point. Though I wasn't a junk-food junkie on-cycle, but I did in fact use A LOT of NLarge2, which is high in carbs. I think that may have been the culprit, but it was a necessary evil since the carbs are needed to pack on the mass.

Carbs are neccessary, a lot of carbs are not.

Sure do!!! Damn, I think I've added 4 inches to my waist in the last 2 weeks. :mad:
