i f*cking hate coming into the gym in the morn only to find the nite crew left their plates and dumb bells out!!

if you're strong enough to load it, you're strong enough to unload it...

i would not have a problem if someone was injured and was unable to unload though...

I always do its just the curtious thing to do. If a guy who is waiting for bench/preacher or something I will ask if he wants me to rack the weights or just to leave it though.

Always. In fact I seem to spend most of my time between sets re-organizing the whole fricken dumbbell rack.

Do any of you prefer how the plates are racked. Maybe it's just me, but I prefer them to be facing out, they're easier to grab. There seems to be an epidemic at my gym lately with everyone putting them back facing in.

I like to go around the gym and put the 5 and 10lb plates in between the 45's on the squat and bench racks.

...then I like to watch people fling them off the racks while they're getting off the 45's - makes my night and gives me that warm, fuzzy feeling. :)

It's even better when they don't notice the 10lb plates or pull off two 45's at once, so they drop them on their feet. Classic!

Endless hours of fun. I reckon if the weights are strewn all over the floor then it's much easier to choose the one you want. We have a variety of Weider, York, Olympic and un-named plates and I hate using mis-matched plates when lifting. I'm sure people reckon I'm odd when I take a plate off the rack and then use the one that was underneath it.

I'm the same way, they have to be the same make for me to use them. Also when on the bar they have to be facing in.
