Yeah, the WORST is when you want to get a plate, only having to remove 5 others, of varying poundage, off that peg to get to it.

I don't understand how people can't match up plates on the right pin. It's like little kids trying to hammer a square peg through a round hole. (not that hard)

Even better, at my gym they even have the pegs numbered, 45, 35, 10, 5, 2.5 etc. and the lugheads stil can't get it right.
The 35's are in the 25 spot which meand the 10's don't fit properly, everything is everywhere.... idiots!

They tried to do that at my last gym with the labelled pegs. The trouble was that the 45s were all on one side of the rack along with the 35s. Too much hassle to follow that one.

Yes I put the weights back in the right spot and if someone has put them in the wrong spot Ill take the time to move them around...And if your one of the few meatheads that dont put the weights back or say "thats what I pay the gym for" Ive got a bullet with your name on it.

I hate using mis-matched plates when lifting. I'm sure people reckon I'm odd when I take a plate off the rack and then use the one that was underneath it.

I'm exactly the same. Gotta be the same make. Also i dont like mis-matched sides, eg 1x20kg and 1x10kg on one side and 1x20kg and 2x5kgs on the other. It just dosen't feel right! I usually put my plates back but no-one cares at my gym. Sometimes there is one bench with 6 sets of dumbells scattered around it!

i do this most of the time... why don't i do it all the time? well, i sometimes return to the same bar and then remove as many plates as i need.

usually i dont on ME squat/dead days. i usually just lean the plates up against the wall. i'm too fuckin gassed after my last set, but i take the weight off so the next person doesn't have to

Yeah I dislike the plate leavers and the dumbbell leavers and the dumbbell standers... but I can understand their stupidity and laziness. But what I DO NOT understand at allis how every single 2 1/2 pound plate ends up at ONE station... (the bench...) Each station only needs 2!!!!

The only time I don't is if someone is waiting for the equipment and when I am finished, I leave whatever they ask me to. Other than that, it is common decency to replace the weights after use.
